I hope uaap and even NCAA should study carefully before conduct a bubble.. karamihan sa mga Yan mga happy go lucky, madali mainip and cause to some players will break the quarantine protocols.. they are not pba players that are professional enough to handle peer pressure, homesickness, etc...
Let us be honest here. Nagpalaki lang naman ng Bicol Bubble issue is CJ Cansino and his peeps.

And i think Ateneo is a decent choice to conduct a bubble since if i remember it correctly, Ateneo is gated everywhere Secured yan and wala talaga dapat pumasok. Unlike the case of UP na open siya sa lahat. Or another option would be yung location ngayon ng Chooks 3x3 yung Inspire.

They reaped what they sowed. Ayo and co planted the seeds. I dunno how anyone can blame the players when they were obviously just looking out for themselves when the supposed adults weren't.

Gomez de Liano, 20, was given a special GAB guest license which allowed him to keep his amateur status while playing for the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards in the 3x3 pro league's ongoing President's Cup.

On whether that GAB special license can save his college career remains to be seen. The UAAP Season 80 Rookie of the Year still has two years left in his collegiate career, but has previously announced that he and brother Javi will skip the next season.

UP will be pinning its hopes on the brothers comeback come UAAP Season 84, but Juan's stint in the 3x3 ranks may complicate matters.

The UAAP has yet to discuss the matter pending the resumption of the next season. It's only then that the eligibility committee deliberates on the eligibility of players.

As fas as the GAB is concerned, special exemptions like the one granted to Gomez de Liano will be beneficial to non-pro athletes.

Mitra said he believes that amateurs testing their skills in professional leagues under the clout of the special guest licenses can only benefit these athletes moving forward.

"Pinapayagan maglaro ang amateur dito sa professional leagues to give them exposure. Believe it or not, when they go back to the UAAP or the NCAA, they're gonna be better prepared, kasi nakaharap na nila yung mga a little older and more seasoned players sa kanila," he said.

                      • If Isaac Go and Matt Nieto can play 3x3 in the PBA and not lose eligibility, why cant 1GDL?

                        • They are playing for a 1m pot . I know they make a lot of money in the uaap but it was never this up front. They aren’t amateurs if you are playing for 7 figures

                          • Through the years, the UAAP has been littered with mercenaries masquerading as students who attend classes only for show and in some cases never at all. Perhaps this pandemic is the cue to finally start cleansing the system, starting with eliminating sports agents, managers, advisers, talent scouts or what ever they are called.

For the last 20 years, the league was bastardized and over-commercialized with every action on the playing court having its own sponsor. Athletes are seen moonlighting as commercial endorsers or even as soap opera or reality show actors so hopefully their new network will remedy this and package them as real students again.

Let's not even talk about season individual award winners getting five to six-digit monetary sums from sponsors.
