Why I'm not a fan of Olympic qualification in Kaunas? We choked in 2011, we can do it very well again. I feel it would be less pressure else where.LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

Brah, obviously I failed with counting medals each decade Obviously in 90's we got 4 medal collections, in 00's 3 collections and in 10's so far 2 and there's only 2020 season left to catch up with 00's. DuhLTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

That Kuzminskas is not good defender sure, but playing SF atleast he is longer and more less same weight category and is not easy to beat Kuzminskas on speed even for SF,it's very easy to beat him on strength for Pf.Thats my point.Kuzminskas at SF is not hole in defence as he is surely hole inside in pf.
Brazdeikis sg really? With 100kg weight at age of 20 I see mixes of young Maciulis and Kleiza, but not shooting guard. In future Brazdeikis how strongly he is built can be more Sf-Pf.I don't see him Sg at all.You won't find manny sg that weight 100kg . Kuz weights only around 96.
Our shooting guard can't weight 100 and power forward only 96
Jokubaitis/Velicka have better chances making final roster in 2021 instead of all other born 1998-2000 tallents, not because they are better ,simply because there is big need in that position. From Mantas talks we can gues next summer is his last one.
In 2021 we will small combo guard Lukas and will search who can help him and be more of traditional pointguard.
Masiulis have good chance making nt in 2021.There is need of such position and style player in our NT roster.Plus He has possitive working history with Maskvytis
When position SF is loaded that's why all those Kulboka,Sirvydis, Giedraitis jr ,sedekerskis will have way tougher job making team even if they are better players than those 2 young pg .Ulanovas and Kuzminskas is going nowhere any time soon and for youngster to beat mature player like Butkevicius or to lesser degree R.Giedraitis over last spots as Sg-SF it won't be easy by no means in next few years.
Especially if Maskvytis is hired and those 3 of 4 I mentioned is Maskvytis 1992 group players.I can see that Juskevicius is getting big minutes under Maskvytis in parma,Adas also will be around nt team next 2 years most likely.
If any of those young wings would be able to play some pf too that would up his chances making team dramatically.
Overall those born players 1998-2000 can get seriuos roles and minutes starting from 2023 talking realistically.Maybe somebody can make team as 10-12th bench player in 2021 (but that the best case scenerio).
Jankunas is done as basketball player. His body barely can play one game per week, no chance playing 3-4 games per week for him anymore.
Maciulis maybe still have something left in tank if take him only as mobile undersize Pf ,basically gave Kuzminskas 10-12min 2019 pf role to Maciulis.
Sf position in 2020 Olympic summer should be given to Kuzminskas and Ulanovas.Last edited by Shawshank; 10-06-2019, 09:24 AM.

Kulboka already playing 4 for Bilbao and I see him staying in this particular position. He's can be a very good stretch 4 which we badly need. I'm slowly losing hope with Sedekerskis. Seems like he had an early size, athleticism and skill advantage in Youth basketball, but in PROs he's not a true standout. Still can reach that all around defensive NT material level, but I'm not holding the breath any more with him.

BTW, Kleiza's and Maciulis's comparison with Brazdeikis is way out of hand. The spot on comparison is Jeo Ingles and Manu Ginobili. Those 2 makes so much more sense, specially Ingles.LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

Interesting if since Blatt is gone, Kemzura will be a gonner too. OLY may offer assistant position, but if Kemzura would suddenly be free...A strong candidate, to me stronger than Maksvytis even if he didn't work as a head coach recently. Anyway, if Maksvytis would deny the offer, there might be Kemzura as a candidate likely now. I'm good with both of these guys, but would prioritize Kemzura.
Personally I think it's so important that Kemzura knows what it means to win medal with NT and already has experience to handle quallies and Olympic tournament. I think he surely feels what could be done differently and would adjust to that.Last edited by Straight forward; 10-06-2019, 07:45 PM.LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:
