    Anyone check this out? FIBA did a nice documentary on youtube before the event.

    Yeah it was well done. My favorite line is that prior to 1994 tournaments the USA had previously sent college players and factory workers. Factory workers ! I couldn’t stop laughing.

    AAU/NIBL (Industrial League) teams topped college selections in several US basketball trials. Olympic, WC and Pan Am teams regularly had AAU players until 1968. At a time when NBA salaries were not so appealing, several high level collegians decided to join AAU keeping their amateur status. ABL pros (1961-end 1962) took over a couple of Industrial League teams and finally, when ABA became the legitimate second pro league in 1968 the AAU system collapsed.

    Like OP said- "The Two Escobars" is not only one of the best football docs I've seen, it is one of the best docs I have ever seen. It should be on Netflix if you are from the US- most of the 30 for 30 docs are on there.
