Mitoglou and Papagiannis are serious Euroleague players as they are getting serious minutes especially under Pitino. They are averaging close to 20 mins per game under his guidance.

I think Koniaris has done ok. I wasn't expecting him to do much but he's a fighter. He'll never be a superstar but if can be a "Mantzaris" he'll be ok.

Speaking of Mantzaris, he's pulled the clock back at Promitheas and is playing well.

Moraitis and Tsalbouris went to Kolossos Rhodes but they have hardly set the world on fire. I was expecting a lot from Moraitis but he doesn't seem to be an A1 level player yet

Nikolaidis, Koloveros and Arsenopoulos are both struggling to make a differance for Oly in A2 and have about 5-6 points average each.

Karambelas (Peristeri) had an injury from summer and only returned 6 weeks ago.
What about Lountzis, Kalaitzakis, Gontikas, Bochoridis?

The Kalaitzakis Bros. Have the best prospect. I still have hopes for Lountzis. Not for Bochouridis. Shooting guard that can't dribble, only spot shoots and is an average shooter.i

Maccabi is looking to add Israeli player - guard or forward, since, practically, only two Israeli players - Jake Cohen and Danni Avdija, left to play in Israeli league, when one of Israeli players must be on the court at all times.
According to some reports names are Avi Ben-Chimol, Yiftach Ziv and Amar'e Stoudemire.

I'm pretty sceptical about last name...Maccabi need guard, not center.

A big Greek sports website said PAO went for Kenny Wooten but the Knicks offered him a contract on 14/01 and the player was lost. He was the rim protector we were looking for.

Beloved? Hardly. Always hated his stupid turnovers.
In any case he plays for Hapoel Holon these days, and I doubt Maccabi will even try to get him out of contract.

Wouldn't this be a conflict of interests?

Has the Israeli league ratified his signing?

I really didn't expect this signing. I thought Maccabi were after guards after losing Walters and Zoosman!

Well, that means Jackson going to play in Israeli league, and Stoudemire too, as Israeli. This will give Hunter and Wilbekin/Dorsey some rest. I hope Amar'e is in good form.

Anyone coming from China struggles. Even Delaney did in the beginning. When you play against sh*t players you seem to lose your skills. Any Chinese team would stuggle to stay up in any local top competition in Europe.

There is a conflict of interest, but mostly ethical. not legal.

I really didn't expect this signing. I thought Maccabi were after guards after losing Walters and Zoosman!
Well, the signing was mostly for Israeli league, where you must have one Israeli player on the court at all times, and Maccabi had only 2 non-junior players left - Jake Cohen and Danni Avdija. In addition, there's quota of 8 foreign players to have in Israeli league, and Maccabi had one free place left this season - they already have Black, Wolters, Bryant, Wilbekin, Dorsey, Acy, and Hunter signed to Israeli laegue. So now there are only 7 main roster players left (including Cohen and Avdija) to play in Israeli league. So solution was either bring Israeli guard, which was problematic this time of year, or do creative thinking, and sign Amar'e and bring Jackson as 8th foreign player. This will give Hunter much needed rest in Israeli league (since Caloiaro and Reynolds play only in EL), and also give Wilbekin/Dorsey/Bryant some rest from Jackson as well.

In any case, Maccabi might still bring Israeli guard later (per Sport 5 web site)

Or, Maccabi could play in Israeli league with junior roster for couple of months, and save all headache...

You welcome To be honest I wish Maccabi really played with young players in Israeli league until playoffs - no more than 10 minutes to main roster players, but that's me.
