    But I see that there are still fourteen names on Canada's roster which makes no sense:

    The official website of FIBA, the International Basketball Federation, and the governing body of Basketball. FIBA organises the most famous and prestigious international basketball competitions including the FIBA Basketball World Cup, the FIBA World Championship for Women and the FIBA 3x3 World Tour. The website features live and on demand videos, basketball news, over 70,00 players profile and thousands of teams profiles, schedules and statistics of all FIBA Events as well as results and statistics from over 80 national basketball leagues.

      This is incorrect.
      Brissett is out. Injured and sent home
      Duane Notice was cut and sent home.
      Cory Joseph is in. Has been in China with the team for a couple days.
      Chris Boucher has not been with the team for over a month now.
      Connor Morgan (Joventut) was added yesterday to replace Brissett.
      The rest is accurate.

      Blame FIBA if you are confused.

      Final 12 seems to be:
      G:
      Kevin Pangos (Barcelona)
      Cory Joseph (Pacers -> Kings)
      Phil Scrubb (Zenit -> Movistar)
      Andrew Nembhard (Florida, NCAA)
      Brady Heslip (Istanbul BSB -> FA)
      Kaza Keane (Zwolle -> Mitteldeutscher BC)
      Aaron Best (Ludwigsburg -> FA)

      F:
      Melvin Ejim (UNICS KAzan ->Unicaja)
      Thomas Scrubb (Varese ->SIG Strasbourg

      Bigs:
      KhemBirch (Magic)
      Owen Klassen (Ludwigsburg -> Antwerp)
      Kyle Wiltjer (Unicaja -> Turk Telecom)
      Conor Morgan (NZ Breakers -> Joventut)

      Still a solid team and would pool out in most other pools. Good enough to upset Australia or Lithuania. But I am expecting a 17-20 finish despite being able to shit can many of the teams that will be in the 9 to 16 range.

      C'est la vie!

      Edit: Shit that is 13. Let me recheck.
      Cant find anything offcial yet - most likely Best or Keane is the final cut. Doesn't matter much. I'd cut Heslip as we have a 6'10 version of him on the roster already.

        This is like their team C or D and still solid on paper. Deep talent pool.

            So now that the roster declaration deadline has expired I see that Canada's roster on the FIBA site has grown to sixteen:

            Very strange.

                16 Canadians converts to 12 Americans, sounds about right.

                    When did Brady Heslip rejoin Team Canada anyway? And when exactly did Cory Joseph arrive in China? Will he not still be jet-lagged on Sunday against Australia?

                      Heslip was in Australia but late. He played the USA game. I think they made a mistake cutting Best for him. But it shouldn’t matter with these last guys.

                      Cory has been in China for a couple days - and yes, his fitness and preparation should be questioned. Everything about Basketball Canada should be questioned.
