I never thought China could do it without trouble, even with a group like this. Anything could happen, even when they have the homecourt advantage.

Great triumph of Venezuela demonstrating its character and identity of game against the host team of China who could not decipher the approach of the South American team, who maintained an efficient percentage of field, Lewis scored the scoreboard and the first points would be backed by Heissler Guillent who would also take the rhythm and leadership in the game. Colmenares and Gregory Vargas also rightly joined Venezuela's dynamic offensive. The team in general had an impeccable behavior to the height of the circumstances contributing from all the aspects as much offensive as in defense.

Venezuela defeats China 72 - 59 with a historic step in its history, registering its name among the 16 best teams on the planet and raising another level in the elite of basketball passing to second round and with territory to continue exploring.

He celebrated this transcendental step that Venezuela has achieved to substantially elevate the structural vision of basketball reflected in our selection that continues to provide us with the best of joys.

Venezuela obtained a great achievement demonstrating character and identity when it was needed most, as you mention before the host in front of his public, this team has been making history and has a great determination, which has been an impulse in all its conquests, raising and putting on the world map the culture in terms of basketball that is breathed in Venezuela, now after the end of the game, some feel sorry for the team from China.

Chinese were too nice (some would say naïve). Had this tournament been hosted in Turkey or Spain, you'd never see the host nation fall so early from contention. Whatever it takes.

Good luck in the next round.

Congratulations to Poland and Venezuela on their promotion to Division A of the World Cup. Does this mean that the Big East gets Asia's spot in the Olympics?

If definitively the character and determination of Venezuela and Poland in their confrontations in the group in general, gives them access to the best level of the World Cup, and it would be even more important for them to obtain victories in the crossing with their new group I of the second round, from now on everything will be more interesting.

                Congratz to Venezuela!

Those fking chinese don't have size, they only have height, which is why they are inferior race.. The chinese basketball system prefer to selecting tallest players when they were young, but not skill first. For example, there are a lot of youth basketball clubs and sport schools in china, they reject to recruit people under 190 cm when they create youths' team not to mention when it comes to adult. Even their coaches consider center and power forward play the most important role in game, their guards cannot do anything but sidekick of long men.

Chinese believe skill can be trained, but height cannot be trained. I think it makes sense, maybe European countries and North American countries should select tall guys in the first place.

Those chinese are giants because they only select long men for professional, even though they don't have any skill. chinese athletic system is very different from other worlds. This is why chinese sport teams are usually taller than other asian ones, even though most chinese are midget. And for those players, they are usually encouraged to marry to female basketball , volleyball or other players to inheir their height to the next generation. I think it is a good method to develop basketball, other countries should copy that.
