Has ROS system always been like this? I’m noticing more off/on ball movement

Or you could wonder maybe this is how he plays with dust?

Sayang lang effort nia sa Ginebra as he rarely touch the ball what with 3 guards (LA, Skati and Stanley) plus another guard in Browlee. PRINGLE and LA already had 7 attemps while Skati had 5, Greg only has 4...Greg is actually sealing his man kaso wala di mabigyan ng bola..

Greg has looked really good so far (at least based off of the highlight videos I’ve seen). It’ll be interesting to see him face off against Junemar this season.

Tim Cone is the least surprised with Slaughter’s impressive debut, saying it is merely a reflection of the hard work the seven-footer put in during the break in between conferences as he strives to get better after a long injury layoff.

“If you have a chance to watch us play against LG and the Korean teams, you’ll see that Greg is extremely playing well," said Cone. "Now, he is a year and a half, almost two years removed from his ACL injury.”

Cone said he has also made adjustments with the way he uses Slaughter. From a low-posting big man, he has turned the former Ateneo standout into a 'movement type of player."

“He is not the June Mar [Fajardo] kind of guy where he is going to sit on the post and try to beat people up in the post. He really is a movement type of player. He can shoot jumpers and he can get to the basket off rolls and stuff like that.

“We are kinda just figuring it out right now. We are using him a little bit differently than we used to in the past. He is responding very, very well. He is excited coming into practice every day. He is excited coming to the games. He knows he is going to play well."

On the other hand, Cone swears the extra work has made Slaughter quicker with or without the basketball.

“He is moving up and down the court, you saw him get down in transition and get that dunk. That was something that he couldn’t do a couple of conferences ago," Cone said. "He is playing quick out there. You have a seven-footer who plays quick, you really have a weapon."

It’s looking very likely. He should be fine as there probably won’t be too many outside shooting big men to guard. Although it hasn’t been confirmed that Kai will be on the final roster, I don’t think he’s ready to deal with Denzel Bowles on his own at this point of his career, so Greg can try to reduce that pressure a bit.

Slaughter being a movement player potentially will make him a good international player, where player movement is imperative and Bully ball is almost extinct. Probably thats the reason why Junmar can replicate his PBa performance with Gilas, as he needs the ball in his hands and can bully his opponent almost always in Fiba game..
