  • All-Tournament Team and MVP Prediction

This is obscenely early, but since we have time to kill before the friendlies I thought I would post this. What are your predictions about the All-tournament team and MVP?

    I'm going with

    Kemba Walker (MVP)
    Bogdan Bogdanovic
    Jayson Tatum (removed Lillard)
    Nikola Jokic
    Rudy Gobert

Honorable mention (possible inclusion in top 5 if their teams make the semifinals): Alexey Shved, Jamal Murray, Jonas Valanciunas, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Danilo Gallinari, Sergio Llull

I hope you're running the prediction game this year. You do a great job and for some reason I always do well when you're in charge.

Serbia has its best roster in years, Jokic is as good as any player on team USA (Lillard is only guy even debatable) and team USA is getting weaker by the day. I bet it at +1000. I hope the President doesn’t arrest me for treason.

Based on the teams that will reach the F4:
                D. Lillard (k. Walker if dame won’t show) MVP any of these two
                S. Llull
                T. Harris ( J.Tatum if Harris won’t show)/ B.bogdanovic if no one in the states want this tournament and Serbia wins. With all that withdrawals they don’t give any option not to think about it
                N. Jokic
                R. Gobert

Best player overall Greak Freak.Thats bigger and taller young LeBron coming at you full speed and puts enourmous pressure on defences.

Hmmm. I would add some things. Winning matters, so guys like Mejri or Webster are a bit inflated.

Second Team, maybe Mills instead of Webster.

Also Bjelica would be ahead of Giannis for me

                          Bjelica 20.5MPG, 14.3 pts 5.3rbs 4.3ast, 53.8% 2PT, 61.3% 3PT, 100% FT
                          Giannis 25MPG, 15.7 pts, 7.3rbs 2.7ast, 60% 2PT, 16.7% 3PT, 83.3% FT

Race for all-Tournament team and MVP:

                            MVP's:

Mills (Australia) 21.8 points, 4.2 assists 63% inside the arc.
Fournier (France) 20.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 43% beyond the arc
                            Bogdanovic(Serbia) 20.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 56% Field Goal!!!!
Rubio (Spain) 14.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists
                            Walker(USA) 14.6 points, 6.0 assists, 60% from 2p shots.

                            All-Tournament teams:
Satoransky and Bohacik fro Czech Republic (Sato could be in MVP discussion if they reach Semis)
Baynes from Australia (he shoots with 53% from 3p!!!)
                            Scola and Campazzo from Argentina
                            DeColo and Gobert from France
                            Barnes from the USA.

                            Honourable mention:

Delavedova from Australia, Corey Webster from New Zealand, Okogie from Nigeria, Mejri from Tunisia and Guna Ra of Korea (he is the player that leads in both points and rebounds. I think that this stat is a record).
