i remember our away game against iran in their home turf last wc qualifiers , the team.needs to leave as soon as the game is over because of some minor security concern , compare that now to the situation there.

Sage is not looking American to me.. so Iranian organizers will not doubt him as American.. especially if he has Philippine passport.. he's look like Latino for me.. his face is like Greg slaughter.. a baby face.. and think of it eh his surename is purely Pinoy.. not American surename.. problem only if his parents not allowed him to join due to security concerns.. or one thing is I were sbp eh I liline up ko nalang sya even if he will play or not just like parks last time.. atleast even naka line up eh sure na Tayo na qualified na si sage as a local.. or kahit played atleast a game Lang.. much better if fiba will transfer the hosting rights of Iran.. move it to Dubai..

But atleast sbp should line up him even he will play or not in u16 tournament.. if he was in the line up even he will not play eh fiba will already classify him as local.. fiba will understand this situation happens in Iran.. maybe other countries will also hesitant to go there.. especially Saudi (also qualified in the u16).. we all know Saudi and Iran are not in good terms.. parks do the same thing also.. he was in the line up but not joining because of not good situation in Yemen..

to begin with parks jr is born in RP.. what prevents him is that he’s half american and yemen is not a good place to host a fiba tournament.. not even fifa tournament

Aahhhh.. so the only way is to line up him only even if he will not play so atleast we can tell that fiba is classifying him as local.. can we do that way?

come to think of it if the 2010 u18 asiad was hosted by malaysia, thailand, india or vietnam, clarkson would’ve been eligible and maybe we’re not talking about clarkson playing as NP instead as local

True, that was his and the federation chance to establish association, not when he's in his mid 20s

But isn't the Asiad a non FIBA sanctioned tournament? I think the best tournament for the guys like Clarkson,Pringle maybe even Standhardinger (I'm not sure if he played for a FIBA sanctioned tournament for Germany) to have played is the 2011 FIBA Asia Tournament in Wuhan, China. The only downside I see is that they could not play for at least 2 games like what happened to Lutz and Lassiter. But yes, try to Imagine that lineup, Pringle, Lassiter, Clarkson, Standhardinger and the tournament scoring and rebounding leader,Marcus Douthit.Guys like Taulava,Aguilar,Williams,Alapag,Lutz,Tiu etc. would have been very happy cheer leaders and the Olympic qualification would have been more probable.

Perhaps Silent Killer was referring to the 2010 FIBA Asia U-18 Championship. Clarkson was 18 years at that time & would had been eligible to play as a local.

He is one of the best options. Very Young and Nba caliber. I hope SBP can find more naturalized players in nba free agents list. This is where San Miguel find Mccolough anyway.(In the nba free agents)

Many players will have interest to play for us, because we are the host of fiba world cup.

If only he can improve his defense.

Well, he's still young so there's still room for improvement.

Nah. Even Andray Blatche is not a good defender. Yi Jianlian, a low class nba player as we see can score easily against blatche. And we have success with dray.

Chris will develop his defense in time. He is very young. Stopping a legit nba starter jones is pretty inpressive(although cstand help him)

We cant discover a tow way player like kawhi leonard to play for the phil. They will target USA if they are that good.
So basically, we are just picking up the trash players in nba(hate to say that actually)

I like Chickenjoy guy as our naturalized player because he fills the spot we need for an international-sized 3. Plus we can subsidize his salary with a Jollibee ensorsement.

I really wish naturalizing players here is as simple as they are in the Middle East where they simply issue the player a passport.

There's so much red tape here.

Yes of course.I always think of the Asiad as the Asian Games and the Guangzhou Asian Games was held in 2010
