let's hope next game, calvin would be included. i posted it in the other thread that nieto wins have good connection with Ateneo and some other benefactors. But anyway, it's still up to the coaching staff and i'm just merely a fan.

But everything else I said about those PBA special Gilas draftees I'm not ashamed of saying. Theres nothing special about that batch of players for Gilas.

Hours before our first game & its the non-selection of Calvin Oftana which have become the most talked about topic here.
That "controversy" seems to have hugged the limelight."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. However, it would be more beneficial to Gilas if both can play.

I envy UP, Beda and Ateneo for having multiple players in the pool. Adamson doesn't have any players there because they are either ineligibles (Manganti, Ahanmisi) or tweeners (Camacho, Chauca, Lastimosa).
Well, there are still my klasmeyts playing for national team but Guam National Team (Cruz, Stinnett). HahaAttack

If Oftana gets the nod to play in the 2nd game, I would assume he would replace Navarro. Because they play the same position.
I clearly recall the 2016 NCAA season where Oftana and Navarro were rookies for San Beda. Javee Mocon was the starting 4. In the early stages of the 1st round of 2016, it was Navarro who first came off the bench before Oftana. But come 2nd round of the 2016, it was already Oftana who was burning time when Mocon sits down. In fact come final four and Finals, Navarro never saw time as it was Oftana being the primary reliever for Mocon. This is one of the reasons why Navarro left Mendiola. Playing time.
On the other player naman. If Tungcab plays on Monday, he would probably replace Javi or Mike Nieto.

I mean that selection of those 5 or so Gilas reserves...nothing special. Heck none of those 5 picks would even be in most people's Gilas rosters for the next 10 years. They wouldn't even be my third or fourth choice for whatever position they play in Gilas.
Apologies to any fans of those players. All 1 or 2 of you guys.

Iran's final 12 for this window:
Aaron Geramipoor - 7'0
Michael Rostampour - 6'11
M.Mirzaeitalarposhti - 6'10
Mohammad Torabi - 6'9
Arman Zangeneh - 6'8
M. Hassanzadeh - 6'7
M.Jamshidijafarabadi - 6'6
Saeid Davam - 6'3
B.Yakhchalidehkordi - 6'3
Mohammadsina Vahedi - 6'2
Hamed Hosseinzadeh - 6'1
Sajjad Mashayekhi - 6'0
Hypothetical scenario, if we were bracketed with them, and we brought this same Gilas cadet lineup, how would the team fare?
My take..we get blown away by at least 15 points. Without a NP. If we had Kouame we still lose by single digits.Originally posted by PeeZonesKai is a top ten lottery pick come draft day and the best team for him is the spurs...Kai is way more skilled OFFENSIVELY than duncan, yao, aldridge, kp. etc..Kai is way better offensively than Porzingis by a mile...Kareem isnt really way far than Kai..decent bball IQ for both MJ and Kobe but Kai belongs to the highly skilled and high IQ players...I see talent clearly and they cant.
