I am a bit concerned with his passiveness on offense and I can't say he is better defensively than Oftana. But because of his height I will still consider him. Oftana has good range and good hops with a bit iffy handles. Javi has good range and his handles seem to be better than Oftana's because he seems comfortable at driving to the basket.
So I think they should all be considered and trained. Navarro, should be more aggressive in offense. This team cannot afford its wings to be passive in offense. Oftana needs to train his handles. Javi needs to be a bit better at everything since at 6'4 he probably should shift to SG.
Navarro and Oftana has almost the same mobility, it's just that the former is taller. Dwight might be 6'5 but compare his body/built to Oftana he is built like a tank shades of Iran's former defender Sahakian.
Navarro might not have the range at 3 points right now compared to Oftana, but that is highly trainable and can be acquired through rigorous practice. Besides his form is not broke, ok din naman. If Pogoy can be a good shooter, no doubt Navarro can develop that as well.
Like I said we are building a team, if I'm drafting a no 1 pick in PBA for a choice, I'll definitely choose Oftana over Navarro, pang franchise material yang laro niya in PBA.
But if we have scorers nga like Parks, Perez et all. Give me a taller wing to help them on the D side. We all know we don't want to see Parks/ Perez being sacrificed to guard taller wings, sakit sa mata yun.

B1 and B2 should be seriously considered every Gilas SEA game.
Dwight Ramos should be a Gilas mainstay like Kai and AJ.Originally posted by JAMSKIE View PostWell, its just Thailand lang kasi nakalaban natin eh. I think it would be different if Go will be matched-up against the quick & mobile 4's of Korea, Lebanon, Iran, China & Japan.Last edited by sajubeads; 12-01-2020, 04:57 AM.

Navarro didnt look particularly quick to me. Is it an effect of playing PF on college? Anyway just basing on the players picked it seems initially Oftana and Navarro are one of the last picked for SF. Oftana helped his cause in game 2. While to me Navarro didnt do anything in particular except that fast break dunk.
As for the guards, it seems Tubgcab is the 4th rotation PG. Was it Suerte who had his knees wrapped? Id like to see Perez as PG in the next round.
Id say Perez, Wright, Parks, Japeth and Erram will be in the pool for Feb. Who do we play? Korea and Indonesia?

Guys, based on what you've seen with our cadet team in this 2nd window, how do you see this team stands against lower tier Asian teams like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Syria, Bahrain, India?
I'm referring to the present strength of our team ha, becoz I expect this team to get significantly stronger in 5 to 6 months time."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Not saying oftana doesnt have potential, but javi has a more polished skillset as of now. Compare the way they attack closeouts na lang, javi was autmatic on that. Javi also moved better off the ball.
Oftana has higher potential tho with his physical tools, ill concede that.

Navarro to me is too slow and too weak for the international 4 position, much less play the 3.
I wish Mac Belo never regressed after that injury. He was an excellent successor to RDO.

I think Japeth will still play if called upon. He uses his jumper very well now, I have no doubt if he's at the top of the key, he will be able to do the most damage.
