They probably have one already cause who could have named those 24 players in the pool unless BSP chose all 24 without consent of a coach, they haven't announced it yet maybe for drama purposes, see everything that happens in our basketball has to be dramatic. even choosing the final 12 has to be done in an event with every single player chosen called out one-by-one.

Atm, it looks like Sydney, Perth, Cairns and Brisbane make the aus nbl semi finals, none of those guys in the top 4 will be playing Asia qualifiers. NZ won’t make it so they should only be down a few players from there normal roster.

Aus missing Bogut, Cooks, Newley, Kickert, Kay, Moller, Lisch, Sobey, Gliddon, Cadee, Hodgson, Magnay, Noi, Djeric

Why not invite Guam in Philippine soil and make a tune up games here? Guam will accept this invitation for sure before they will go to Hong Kong.. while our team will have good tune up games before playing vs Thais and Indons..

Good idea. For sure, they will knowing that the Philippines is closer to Hong Kong and a quality team as per their standards.

That remains to be seen since both players are already in the twilight of their careers. I feel both Bahrami & Hadadi will be donning the Iranian National team jersey for one last time in this year's Olympics. After the Olympics, I think we won't be seeing them again with the Iran NT.

I agree the Olympics would be swan song. Better way to end their careers in a high note.

Well its a 14 day practice actually. Official Practice starts on 6th of Feb... Knowing Tab, for sure there would be some twice a day practice....

I'm ok w/ 14 day practice.. But after this qualifiers eh atleast every week had practice especially for the cadet players.. they should continue practice so that the system will be in place..

You need at least 10 players to practice, otherwise it's better to join an exsiting teams practice ( just to get the bodies) , this is something people need to understand.. much of selection is really based on who's avaialble to practice long term with the team (how else do you develop chemistry and a system) , obviously one has to be of a certain level of talent, but that's not the sole reason for selection , there so much more to it.

on the point of we got to see how so and so performs first in a certain level of competion, that's really a fan thing, you whoever haven't seen the player play enough... one cannot argue with the assesment of a coach who actually sees the player regularly in practice or what ever competition, nothing beats 1st hand day to day exposure to a player... and besides this is from the national team coaching staff themselves perspective, i would trust their eyes more than anything or anyone else,

As of now, we have five gilas cadet players (Go, Nietto twins, Suerte, Bulandi), Thirdy and Tungcab.. plus maybe Dave Ildelfonso (serving 1 year residency at Ateneo) and Kouame (preferred naturalized player).. 9 players atleast always present in long term plans.. SBP also should invite some players from pros and college standouts.. one day per week is possible.. for system learning purposes..
