    Quarterfinals are set:

    Men
    Turkey-Mongolia
    Argentina-Ukraine
    Russia-Romania
    United States-Italy

    Women
    China-Philippines
    Japan-New Zealand
    United States-Indonesia
    France-Mexico

Both US teams went 4-0, winning their games comfortably. Great crowd and atmosphere for the US-Mongolia game.

US teams swept both titles beating New Zealand (girls) and Turkey (boys) in the finals. It's US first title in the Men's competition and the fourth for Women's. Boys had a tougher road to the gold, with an OT win over Russia in sf and a tough final against undefeated Turkey. Girls had an impressive win over France in sf and then rolled to victory vs a surprising New Zealand. USA added 6-foot-11 Dawson Garcia and little guard Hailey Van Lith as tournaments' MVP, btw Van Lith is also member of the 5x5 U19 WC team. Rickea Jackson (US) and Charlisse Leger-Walker (NZL) completed the girls Tournament's Team. As for women's, disappointing performance of European teams except France, notably missing Australia and Spain.

Pretty intense and physical semifinal between the US and Russia, seemed like a lot of the knockout stage games were really close. Surprised how easily the US women beat France. Van Lith was on the Youth Olympic 3x3 Gold Medal team last year as well.

US finally managed to score a win over Serbia at the senior 3x3 WC today, and followed it up by dominating Turkey. As with the runner-up 2016 team, having players with better pedigree in regular basketball pays off.

US beats Latvia 18-14 in the men's final. Big game for Damon Huffman, a late addition to the squad. US beat all the big 3x3 teams and only had one tight game (against the Netherlands where they almost blew a big lead), maybe they are the favorites for Tokyo now?

China knocked off Hungary to win the women's championship.
