That is most of Canada's top talent except for Elijah Fisher (2023) who is our next big time prospect (on the Wiggins, Barrett level) and Zaiden Cross. Not sure why either are not there.

Should be a solid team and likely the Sliver medal favorite.

Very in-depth review of the Canadian team here - going through each player.

Should be a fairly strong Canadian team, with a solid amount of high level prospects.

                  Dominican Republic:

The player to watch is Montero, who scored 15.4 ppg as one of the youngest players at least year's U17 WC, and then scored 31 a game to lead the DR to the Centrobasket U15 championship.

                  Puerto Rico:

El equipo quedó conformado por Johned Walker, Jeremy Figueroa, Jesús Sierra, Sebastián Santiago, Geancarlo Peguero, Eric Navarro, Zabdiel Santana, Kendric Dávila-Díaz, Gregory Limage, Mikkel Cintrón, Arnaldo García y Joshua Rivera.

                    Day 1:
                    Canada 101 Uruguay 63
                    Brazil 72 Puerto Rico 58
                    Dominican Republic 71 Mexico 66
                    USA 83 Argentina 57

Nightmare start for the US, trailing 25-8 early in the second quarter after shooting something like 3 for 25. They tied the game by halftime, opened up a lead in the third, and pulled away in the fourth, but never really played their best...the bigs struggled to finish against a packed defense and Argentina was able to make it a halfcourt game. OTOH when you don't play great and still beat Argentina by 25 you have a pretty strong team. Will Jeffress got hurt late in the first quarter and didn't return, but according to Twitter it's not a serious injury. In the other Group A game the Dominicans pulled off their own comeback win over Mexico and tomorrow they play Argentina in a crucial game for quarterfinal seeding.

Canada and Uruguay combined for 59 fouls in their game.

                      Day 2:
                      Canada 90 Brazil 67

                      Dominican Republic 90 Argentina 77

42 points and 11 rebounds for Montero in DR's win over Argentina.

                        Day 3:

                        USA 122 Dominican Republic 71
                        Argentina 84 Mexico 75
                        Canada 96 Puerto Rico 76
                        Uruguay 68 Brazil 55

US-DR was actually 46-44 late in the first half, before the US scored 13 points in a row going into the break. Once the game got away from the Dominicans they rested their starters and they lead just grew and grew. US shot 22-39 from three, which has to be a record for this tournament. AJ Griffin sat out for the second straight game with a sore hamstring.

Uruguay's upset of Brazil shakes up the quarterfinal pairings a bit:

                        USA-Puerto Rico
                        Argentina-Uruguay
                        Dominican Republic-Brazil
                        Canada-Mexico

From the US standpoint I'd rather have played Uruguay, but PR hasn't shown anything in this tournament.

Any chance Brazil threw that game in order to avoid Argentina?
Despite losing to DR - Argie looks like a deeper, better team.

I didn't watch but Brazil's starters played normal minutes so it seems unlikely. I think they are just shooting terribly--Motta who had 28 against Argentina and 36 against Uruguay at the South American U15 last year is 6-36 from the field in this tournament, and as a team they are 10-66 from three.

                              Quarterfinals:
                              Canada 95 Mexico 78
                              Dominican Republic 73 Brazil 71
                              USA 102 Puerto Rico 51
                              Argentina 62 Uruguay 53

DR wins it on a floater by Cuevas with 1.1 seconds left, after Brazil had scored six in a row to tie the game.

US started off slow for the fourth straight game, and didn't shoot well from outside, but were too physically dominant for PR.

Mexico's Bonilla with 27 points and 20 rebounds in a losing cause against Canada. He plays for Barcelona and is going to the NBPA Top 100 camp next week. Didn't do much against the US but had big games against Argentina and now Canada.

Best four teams qualified, I think, but USA-Canada finals are becoming inevitable at these tournaments.
