UP invested so much with player recruitment but wasted it with a weak coach.

Its fun watching probably one of the better 2-guards in college basketball today, Ricci Rivero and James Canlas.

They should at least try to recruit a foreigner Ciach even just as a consultant. Filipino coach are just archaic and out of their time...Perhaps Radjko Toroman....

    1. Kobe and Ricci are playing like they're superstars who expect superstar treatment from the refs. They need to play hard and not be content with hoisting shot after shot. No hustle on defense.

    2. They dominated the ball too much and relegated their teammates to mere wallflowers. UP's offense stagnated and their offense were reduced to Ricci and Kobe alternating in making shots.

    3. Chemistry will be a big issue for UP, especially when the Gomez de Liano brothers will eventually rejoin the Maroons.

Ricci had multiple opportunities to pass to him when he was open. I saw his frustration every single time haha

I know it's the off-season but Paras' lack of hustle is troubling. Also whatever happened to his ball handling, passing and defense? He reminds me of Jeron Teng only taller and and more athletic. It seems he's only interested in in shooting the ball. He doesn't even look at his options you could tell he's determined in scoring. But at least his stats looks good.

Ricci played well despite showing his immaturity.

Kobe is a really good rim protector. I remember him having a block party vs athletic Canadian players in the Jones Cup. Won't be surprised if he is used to guard opposing 4s for him to be able to patrol the paint more.
Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.
