What a wonderful day for Iranian basketball fans. Qualified for the big stage with the lowest expectations...Thank you Haddadi and Samad for all ur work with team melli all these years. You guys are national heros.
Thank you China for opening up this spot...never thought it would happen this year . But they say never say never in sports.
Prepare well and good luck at the olympics guys...

Several prominent players, including Hamed Haddadi and Samad Nikkhah Bahrami, were extensively relied upon by the team. The team suffered if these players were hurt or had a poor performance.
