from nick the brick with much love. panathinaikos right now is the favourite to reach top8 with 3 matches at home now. what matters though is that panathinaikos has improved a lot during the last 1,5 month. we will be tough opponent at quarterfinals

Great job Panathinaikos. To put this win in perspective a Greek friend of mine said CSKA doesn’t lose 2 games at home in the same year. Hasn’t happened in over 5 years. Great job Coach Pitino getting this team to believe they can go into Moscow and pull it off. I always root for fellow New Yorkers.

Although we got we got this win with the most improbable of ways I believe we deserved it as we played really good today.

If we had been better on defensive rebounds we could have won in a less dramatic fashion.

Sure it is. Vesely is not doing anything else than making screens almost in the half court. There’s no post game whatsoever. And Tomic is not exactly the best defender in the world.

Says a lot about Pitino that learning a new league he swept an accomplished coach like Itoudis with the lesser team.

Well, it seems that the (obvious for some) improvement of Pana has nothing to do with "weak" opponents.
Bad thing, I changed my prediction in the game. Infidels should suffer, I deserve it

Udoh would do and he was extremely limited in offense. That says everything about Vesely.
Luckily for Fener, they won’t meet Real in semis.

Huge away win for Pao. This is a Panathinaikos victory. Pitino has finally found the buttons of this team.

While I was not super in favor about hiring Pitino and most certainly not in favor of extending his contract, I have to admit that I have started changing my mind seeing how the team has improved. He plays a style of basketball that fits the team, gets a lot out of each individual players and has helped a lot with the development of Papagiannis.

This last thing is crucially important as with Calathes, Papagiannis, Papapetrou, Mitoglou we can have a strong greek core of young players.
