Baskonia missing Shengelia, Janning, Granger and now Garino. We really should win the game. No excuses. +10 will be handy and improve out Top 8 chances by 50%.

PAO has everyone (bar Pappas- season) healthy.

Massive game for Oly who are compounded by injury problems with Spanoulis being the biggest blow. If they lose, I think they will miss the 8. The club is in complete dissaray with management forfeiting the cup and league game vs PAO. That is not a way to improve moral for a struggling team. Oly have only 3 guards in Mantzaris, Williams - Goss and Webber.

If Pao can't win this game then, certainly, they don't deserve to reach top-8. I believe it will be an easy win but you never know.
Still, the probabilities are very low for the PO.

Papagiannis became a key player for the team. Apparently, Pascual didn't handle his case very well. His improvement under Pitino's guidance is impressive. I think that his performance will keep improving.

Papagiannis' body was in terrible shape for a long time. From what I heard he's lost close to 10 kilos since Pitino has arrived. This has made him more agile. Pitino has also told him to stop his silly hooks and look to back up to the basket whilst bouncing the ball. His 2.20 and strength gives him the advantage to dunk on anyone really.

Pascual prefered Lasme and Gist at centre. Gave trash or no time to PapaG or Vougioukas. Pitino prefers Papagiannis and Vougioukas. Gist plays no more than 5 mins at C depending of course on the opponent at C.

He's also told Deshawn to take his shots close to the basket than shooting middle and long range shots. In addition to that he's the 1st player that runs on the fast break.

Kilpatrick has been average to poor offensively but he's awesome in defence. You can't get past him as he's quite fast but he's also very strong. His defence is constantly upright and vertical.

Pitino has also transformed Papapetrou as a point forward and the last month he's pumping 3 assists per game when previously he only had 0.3!!!

Panathinaikos in deep mourning today as Thanasis Giannakopoulos the 3rd brother of the Giannakopoulos clan founder of pharmaceutical giant Vianex and the rebirth of the all conquering Panathinaikos Basketball Club passed his morning. He had suffered a stroke 2 months ago and never recovered. The game vs CKSA at home was the last he attended.

He will also be missed. RIP Thanasis.

Thanasis was a funny guy..some anecdotes going around.

When Giorgos Kalaitzis was going to negotiate for his contract renewal Thanasis said to Kalatzis "Be aware of him (his brother Pavlos), he will try to sign you for less"
When Stojan Vrankovic was being demanding on his contract renewal Thanasis said to Stojan "If you don't sign the contract I will jump (pointing) out of that window". The window was 3-4 stories up.
When we signed Drew Nicholas he said "I signed you because you made me cry when you played with Benetton and Efes".

Efes is not playing good at the moment, as usual CSKA match ups for us not proper.
Our three pointers are not falling and defensive rebounds are not good at all.
    Also Moerman is injured.
I don't think we can win under this circumstances.

Efes still could have won. Even if they somehow drop from the Top 4, they will be a mighty opponent in playoffs and possibly final four.

yes efes is good but not the 4 th place level good. they perform better compared to the previous seasons. but all of the 2nd tier teams are bad this season, so efes is at the 4th place. efes is not by any means a contender, the stat Overthetop shared proves that. they are not intimidating like Blatt's Daçka even.

How rubbish are Bayern? Embarrassing to say the least to have conceded 50 points to a struggling Olympiakos by half time.

It says week 26 , it should be 27, you can edit the thread title by first clicking ''edit'' then ''go advance''

Anyways, good win for us especially Green's performance was good. I was expecting something a tough game since it's hard to concentrate all the games, now we've only Maccabi game left at the home, if we win that game it will be 15/15.

I expected a win from Efes, but Larkin returned to his former self again and Moerman's injury has affected them against CSKA. Micic also didn't play well.

Aleksej Pokusevski made his first point ever in euroleague. Standing at 2.10 meters, he plays both guard and forward positions. Amazing talent!

Solid game for Buducnost against Fenerbahce, without two important players. They have their domestic league play of now, I guess this is the most important for them right now. Partizan, Cedevita, Buducnost or Crvena zvezda will be in euroleague next season.

Embarrassing night for Bayern and Gran Canaria. Now, I think that Armani and two greeks gigants will be in PO, but who knows? Maybe we will see different outcomes?

    Barcelona hit 19 3's for %67.9

Some of that is on GC's defense but still very impressive for Barcelona.

True. The last defense was not supposed to be with Pleiss. but Ataman forgot the rule, could not change him, so we could not defend CSKA's last offense.

True but that's not a problem at all. for F4 you won't meet any of them. and in F4, anything can happen.
Efes is clearly below the top3, but I think also distinctly above the rest.

Yes, but Efes can't help that. by that logic, Fener is not "23-4" good.
I daresay the entire league, including the top3, is down a notch.
