People getting their panties in a bunch for no reason. CTC's SEA Games team is a one-and-done stopgap measure. It's not the long-term program, and was never intended to be the long-term program. A victory in the SEA games will not be a cause for rejoicing in the streets, but any medal less than a gold will be a huge blow to an already damaged basketball psyche. Cone's doing his best with the time and tools given to him.

Even if they regular Mondays.. we all know how that turned out in the recent iteration of Gilas. Players don't show up.

I respect everyone's opinion and feelings, but I think this overreaction... over SEAG?!?! really???
what does SEAG add value to us? do most here say that SEAG is a very important step in the development towards 2023 and 2027? I honestly don't see any value, not now, not ever.. our participation in the basketball competition in SEAG is just to foster friendship and to help other nations in their basketball program indirectly.. and not as a crucial first step towards world international level..
For me it is ok to send either the best youngsters or the best pros.. it doesn't matter for the SEA games.. para sa akin nga, send the best MPBL team that can be formed plus a naturalized player (and give them preparation if possible) and we can win the gold.. and let the PBA, UAAP and NCAA and SBP talk amongst themselves to come up with a grand plan that would start first quarter of next year..
