Very important victory for Efes. With this game they basically pushed Oly out of the 4th place race.

I think Gergin Ataman finally understood that he need to use Balbay +10 minutes to win a game in Euroleague. That's not enough to beat big 3 (CSKA, Madrid and Fener) but they can beat any other team with the right game strategy. Dunston is doing his job under the rim as a defender and Balbay doing his job as a guard defender. Beaubois is obviously more skilled than him at offense, Simon too. But Efes already has Micic and Larkin, and they are mainly offensive players, someone needs to do defense on the guards and that's Balbay.

Now it's either Barça or Efes for the 4th spot. 2 games will determine it, Madrid home game and Efes away game for Barça. And Efes will play with us in Ülker Arena and then Barça home game.

Milan also won a very critical game for the playoff race, and now they have reached Oly and they have the upper hand against other teams unless Munich beats Madrid at Spain, which is a very low possibility.

Baskonia and Maccabi lost, that can motivate Khimki and Pana for the playoff race, whoever wins at Athens that team can compete for the playoff spots again.

there are a few Ataman characteristics: winning the games he's expected to, and not even being close to contesting the difficult ones. This year it's better obviously, but I see no chance of beating anyone in top3.

another Ataman trait is his contradictions. He complained publicly about domestic players performance. Balbay spoke up against. then he was DNP for the next 5-6 games. then he saw he needs him, and now he plays. sometimes. yesterday, he was very effective esp against Weber, even though stat-sheet doesn't show it (it shows nothing actually). Moreover, Ataman made a strange speech last week that the foreigner rule is limiting the chances for Turkish players as the foreigners are playing 35mpg. This is crazy, he basically described himself and complained about it to the TBF .

He also looks for a hero in the form of a PG, and he thinks it's Larkin this time, who costed a few games but fortunately started to wake up. To this credit, his love of shooting PFs has been paying off since the beginning.

anyway, too much of a Ataman tirade, but the thread is quiet.

crucial win. well done Mr Ataman

Epic dunk from Kalinic. There was a clear level difference between Daçka and us, but we never take them lightly. Vesely also returned which is a great news, but this time Lauvergne wasn't in the game, it seems his injury will last one week more. Another good win. Daçka 75 - 97 Fener.

The more I see of Kalinic the more I like him as a player.

RM games are always the same since the year started. We have a slow start, we gain a good difference in the 2nd and 3rd Q, and we lose the difference in the 4rth.

Deck is having a really good month, if he improves his shooting skills, he will be one of the best SF in the league. Llull really good, we need him like this (although Campazzo was bad today, he needs rest).

Every time I watch Real play they seem to get it done in different ways on offense...

Do you guys think they have the most diverse offense in the league or does any other team have a better playbook ?

In 2013-14 we had more I think. Rodríguez, Rudy and Carroll on his prime, Reyes at his 3rd youth, Llull before the injury, Mirotic starting to shine, Bourousis motivated after 2 bad years in Milano. All this plus 4 defensive specialist such as Draper, Darden, Slaughter and Mejri.

I would say that this team, was the best RM squad ever, in my opinion.

And now the two most important games for PANA are coming.

If they can win against CAN and DAR they will become serious playoff spot contender again. They have the easiest schedule along with MUN. They main problem is that these next two games are not in OAKA. But if you want to have dreams for final4 you have to win these games.

Bayern without Jovic isn't contender for PF.

He is one of the best pg in El but injury prone and big problem for any team.

    So, now we have:

    1. Fenerbahce (best team in competition) 20-3
    2. CSKA Moscow (almost always in F4) 18-5
    3. Real Madrid (title holder) 18-5

It will be a miracle if any of those three clubs wouldn't be in F4.

    4. Anadolu Efes 15-8
    5. Barcelona 14-9

Battle for the 4th spot and for the home court advantage. Game in Istanbul will be very important.

    6. Armani Milano 12-11
    7. Olympiacos 12-11
    8. Baskonia 11-12
    9. Bayern Munich 11-12
    10. Maccabi TA 11-12
    11. Panathianikos 10-13

They all have their chances. Armani has the worst schedule, and Olympiacos the easiest.

    12. Khimki 9-14
    13. Zalgiris 9-14

    Almost no chance at all.

    14. Gran Canaria 6-17
    15. Buducnost 6-17
    16. Darussafaka 3-20

    No chance at all.

Does anybody else thinks Zalgiris opponents this season hit difficult shots in 4th quarter way too often?
