Ahhh...I missed that. Perhaps lost in translation.

I'd like to see him in the EL to see what he can do - it would be better for him than bouncing around from deep bench to deep bench in the NBA.

James can be Efes' Larkin for maccabi, of course with the right roster and the right players if they choose wisely. Olimpia milano was going good until Gudaitis' injury, maccabi need a center like that to back James up.
what do you need more than Tarik Black?
one of the best centers in the euroleague

Disclaimer: if you want Mike James in your team - just quit being a basketball fan.
He's a trainwreck. I mean have you even watched Armani games last year? That guy can lose a match single-handedly.

Because incompetent Pianigiani wanted James to win on his own, probably. I don't recall James getting this much of a criticism in Pao or Baskonia. He is a useful player if managed well. Now, can he or should he be the top guy is another question.

That's true. Mike James won us way more games than he lost us. His value was evident when he was offered a 1,6 mil. contract from 1 mil he was on (pro rata).

James is good if you want to end up sixth but he has nothing to do in a contender team roster like langford

Come on! Sports 5 prove time after time that they know nothing, if half of their Maccabi candidates would have actually signed the contract Maccabi would have had a 50 players roster by now.

While I feel optimistic for some reason. I would not place Maccabi right below Fener, CSKA, Real (and Barcelona!).
Casspi still hasn't signed officially. Without him our roster doesn't look any better in comparison to last year, with him we are slightly better.

james is good as a support to a better guard, being number 2 in backcourt. like he was for panathinaikos with calathes and adams for baskonia. he is awful as a leader no matter how good numbers he will produce. same goes for shved. james and shved would have much lower numbers at panathinaikos but they would be much more useful cause of having less responsibilities.

if you wanna see if he sucks as a leader go watch armani-panathinaikos this season. it was win or die for both teams and calathes just detroyed him

btw like i said yesterday james-wilbekin will doom maccabi's little chance they have now to make it to the playoffs. its gonna be even more disastrous than farmar-rochestie

Epke Udoh zu Chine. (Beijing Ducks)

What a waste of talent for a fistful of dollars more.

waste of talent for what reason? for 99% of the americans anything apart from nba doesnt seem different. they play for money and live happily for the rest of their life if they cant be in the nba even as a towel thrower. china or euroleague or philipines is the same. there are a few exceptions of course

You can't compare the atmosphere and intensity. Fans in China seem to be forced to watch the games.

As for the level, even the Chinese champions would stuggle in A2. Bourousis' team who were runners up in the league played against PAO during our pre-season last summer (our 1st friendly) and we wiped the floor with them by 37 points playing our kids in the last quarter to show some mercy.

It's no where near the level of EL. Fridette will never score 50+ points in a game in Europe at any level. Neither Fiba Europe Cup nor the Maltese League.

Greg Monroe to Bayern? i don't know if that's old news, but it really sounds huge! Especially for a german team.

i know he was accused of lazy post defense, but still i think it's huge addition for EL team

i never said its the same level. i said that americans dont really care if its g league-china-euroleague or anything. if they dont find themselves in nba they dont really care if they compete in the highest level. all they want is money and have a nice life. if thats china or africa or europe doesnt really matter to them. china has a restiction of 2 foreigners for each team. otherwise more and more would go there and euroleague would be full of g league players
