The coaches must change the possession style of the team. The monumentally srupid style inherited from barangays is to let guards handle the ball 40-60 percent of the time. The defense logic becomes to just kill the often midget two guards and the other 3 become useless. Koreans have read this unchanging stupid pinoy balling script for decades. The so-called positionpess game actually evolved to remove defensive vulnerabilities in concentrated guard play.

There are so many very good pinoy guards who are just too small for fiba games. The history of failure of our small guards against very good bigger guards like those of south korea is dismal. Now, we have nba big guards like those of australia, spain and serbia, among others to worry about because kai and aj may just drag pinoy nts kicking and screaming into top modern baller warfare.
For those who like extra small guards like nonoy and rj abarrientos, the mental exercise of estimating their final performance, particularly on defense and 3point shooting which drastically goes down against elite guards, must not be avoided. Always the gentle excuses that they underperform are due to bad luck or unforseen bad matchups are readily available. Indeed, no one will even have to see padrigao types fu*k up in fiba simply by testing him publicly first against elite sanmig guards, or at the very least norwood, kobe paras or dave ildefonso.
Yes, they are very good dribblers. But the school janitor or canteen food server, or your local dilatory congressman, can dribble away time too. Ididribol lang pala.
Lets hope that the sbp PUBLICLY tests the extra small guards against tall elite pba guards first, who will certainly not allow them to embarrass the pros!!! Indeed, the opponents' "heartcrusher" or dagger TWO prime missions of guards tend to be ignored in pinoy NT teams. Specifically, the RELIABLE abilities to volume-shoot demoralizing outside shots (at least true 50% shooting against elite guards), and vicious superfast and soaring rim attacks like those of harden's and jordan's that break will to compete.
Remember that even the best, experienced pba guards at least can reasonably compete with nba guards. The sbp and pinoy coaches are only too willing to give seats to small players due to perceived public desires. By letting the public see on tv that these young extra small players will almost always underperform, the logic of sending much bigger guards will never be challenged again.Last edited by ccharmed; 05-25-2019, 06:13 AM.

Kai, edu and say tamayo must also publicly go up in 3x3 against fajardo, slaughter, standardinger and aguilar. No exemptions. The claimed best youths must be tested against tougher pba players. The best pba contributions are not just about sending pros, but also testing the readiness of future nt players.
You must design and form an NT that can win it all, and not just participate in smiling during the opening ceremonies.Last edited by ccharmed; 05-25-2019, 06:47 AM.
