A new grassroot league is opening this Aug. 25. What I like about this league is it is purely grassroots as teams can only recruit players within that City or Province. And I think ex Pros and Semi Pro leaguers are disqualified. SO in a way , it does not directly compete with MPBL whuch caters for aging ExPros and DLeague whuch caters to player planning to move to PBA.

The league has twelve teams and will be covered by Vaskerball TV and thru Facebook. I hope this league can discover local heroes like the Hontiveroses, Simons, Laure's and Hugnatan's. The format is also Home and Away.

Aside from WNBL, they will also have a 17under and 12under division. If only this league has MPBL's funds...

Does anyone know how much it costs to be an owner in this league? I just watched part of the championship on facebook from 2 months ago, La Union vs Pampanga.

It is kind of cool they are starting a female league.

Will foreigners be allowed in this league? because i read the league is becoming professional.
