Watching Kenji Duremdes and Echo Laure play for NU u14, it's easy to say that they can displace the Xavier boys Yu and Tan from this year's u16 pool. They might've even made it to last year's Seaba team if they were included. Ang tanong lang naman eh kung irerelease sila ng NU sa batang gilas. Kenji looks like he can easily transition to the 1 or 2. However, he needs to learn how to find the gaps on the defense and attack them similar to how his teamate Tamayo does it. He tends to just shoot over his man when he slashes to the hoop.

O'connel was where Quentin Millora Brown used to play for before transferring to south county this past season

Gilas Army, suggestion/request: It would be great to know the height & birthdate of the prospects. At the youth level, each month counts to better assess the player. Keep up the good work!

Don't we have enough bigs that can fill the center/power forward spot in the NBTC? Any 6'5/6'6 thirteen year old out there that has good ball skills? Pampanga kids perhaps?

Sorry for the OT. This is one reason I mentioned adopting 5 out motion for batang gilas in the Xs and Os thread. In the event a certain age group has no bigs, we would still be able to space the floor and create opportunities inside.

We'll have to lay the foundations at the u13 age group though.

I hope he got his dad's hops as well and another 3-4 inches of growth spurt.
