the only age group tournament in the fiba calendar is the fiba u17 basketball world cup sked for 4july2020 in sofia bulgaria. in the absence of 2019 elimination tournaments before that date, it would seem that previous countries that participated in u16/17 asian and world levels, including the philippines, are prequalified already.

china is getting reluctant about sponsoring these asian and world level bouts, as its chances to medal have deteriorated immensely with the entry of australia and new zealand, and resurgence of japan and south korea. australia wiill already have a u17 team after sept2019. china probably correctly assessed that it may never even be in the top3 asian nations for at least the next 5 years.

sayang, we cant take advantage of the hosting opportunities, as one of the poorer sponsoring countries in asia. nasayang lalo si kai.

So sir analyzed seems to be right. Lebron Lopez is only 6'4 max. 6'6 with the fro max. Manuel Pablo from DLSZ is taller than him even with the fro. Manuel Pablo might be a legit 6'5/6'6 player. He is lanky too. So hopefully could be converted to another SF prospect.
