Some scoring records set by 6' 8 Elizabeth Cambage of Dallas Wings. She first broke the single game scoring record with 53 points (17/22 FG including 4/5 from 3-point range) and then she hit 35 points, setting the WNBA 2-game new scoring mark. Previous records were held respectively by Riquna Wiliams (51 pts) and Maya Moore (80 pts).

The WNBA regular season begins in May. During the regular season, each team plays 34 games, 17 each home and away. Each team plays one in-conference team 4 times and the remaining in-conference teams 3 times each (16 games). Each team then plays the six out-of-conference teams 3 times (18 games).
