Unfortunate losses for both Morocco and Egypt...crushing defeats. Egypt still has a chance to escape the group, but Morocco's advancement looks dire.

agreed, esp Morocco, who played clearly better.

Ronaldo on the other hand seems extra motivated against Spain after his tax conviction. Cheap penalty, it was himself tackling the defender. (IBN habits, cannot avoid ref talk )

Not sure if Ronaldo's heroics will be enough. Spain is destroying the Portuguese back field...now 3-2, ESP.

no disrespect to previous teams, but this was the first properly played football game of the tournament. also nice story for Ronaldo.

Germany looked unsynchronized and lethargic against Mexico and they deserved to lose. I still believe they'll move on to the next round, but their performance was disappointing. Congrats to Mexico.

Euro teams dominate the tournament so far: 13W-3D-2L against non-Euro teams.
