No player above 210 cm during 1999-2000? Or they do not select tall players into the team?

They didn't select their best frontcourt prospect beside Sikiras, 7-footer Semin Burko.

You forgot Obanor, Kilijan and Onasoga. And that's just a quick off-the-top-of-my-head analysis of subject matter.

Never heard of them, did they play for any Serbian NT selection ??? Also Sasa Stefanovic and some other players born in 1998 , from that Denver camp will be part of u 20 NT selection.

As far as I remember, at U14 level, 6'6" Obanor ('95) and 6'1" Onasoga ('98) took part in several regional trials organized by the Basketball Federation of Serbia. However, none of them were ever selected for a national team, not even on a provisional list.

With Stojanovic and Aranitovic out of the lineup (both are/were? special talents), Serbia has to go through trying to find other options. One of the purposes of the showcase organized by the Basketball Federation of Serbia in Denver was to see which USA-based serbian players can put themselves into consideration for future national team opportunities. Regrettably, few of them weren't able to be present at the showcase and not a single Bosnian Serb or American Serb player was invited.

According to Zoran Todorovic (Editor's note : head coach of Serbia University/U23 national team), Balsa Koprivica should be available for the U18 European Championship. A terrific frontcourt seems to figure on the horizon (Koprivica, Petrusev, Pecarski, Ilic, Miskovic & Smailagic).

Fresh off a nice season with Dynamic Belgrade U19 team, former Serbia U16 national team forward, Belgrade-born and raised Pavle Mihajloski ('99) will look to test his talents again on the international stage, accepting an invitation to training camp with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia U18 National Team.

The federation announced the extended roster.

PG: İsmet Baran Avşar, Eray Akyüz, Mert Akay, Ömer Yasir Küçük, Doruk Dora
SG: Onuralp Bitim, Erkin Şenel, Şehmus Hazer, Barış Yeniay, Serkan Aydın, Arda Erdoğan
SF: Muhaymin Mustafa, Yavuz Gültekin, Efe Ergi Tırpancı
PF: Yiğitcan Saybir, Yiğit Baran Sarıkaya, Çağatay Afşar
C: Ragıp Berke Atar, Ahmet Can Duran, Emre Tanışan

The roster includes 3 NBA-border prospects and a couple of Euroleague level ones. There is a pleasing competition at some positions. Şehmus Hazer had a great season and will definitely contend for the spot in order to take over from Bitim and Şenel. Saybir is the most improved youth player of the season in my sight. He will be the main contributor of team. There are 4 promising PGs in the extended roster, Avşar had missed the last U-season due to injuries, however made a great comeback this season and deserves the first spot at PG. Let's see what preparation games will bring.

Sports is not only considered as a superiority of physical capability. Perception, intelligence and morality assist it as well. The strong with less intelligence and comprehension can not cope with the less strong but with sufficient intelligence and comprehension. I like the sportsman who is intelligent, agile as well as morally upright.

Can you explain who are the NBA prospects and who are the Euroleague level ones? Is Bitim still considered as an NBA talent after regressing in the US?

Atar, Bitim and Mustafa are NBA materials. Bitim pulled himself together after spending a wasted season in US, no matter what, I still think that this transoceanic experience has helped him in lots of things. He became aware of some important points which will be decisive for his career. He got spoiled after having a good summer with NT jersey, took a wrong turn. However, thankfully, realized his mistakes and now he is more concentrated on basketball than ever before. He has made a good leap forward this season, I can assure you of this from the firsthand that he is staying on course of NBA. Atar is already a big time NBA potential, Mustafa has been on the radar of scouts as well.

Gültekin, Akyüz and Saybir have good potential to play at high level basketball. There are other players I would like to mention as Euroleague level players, however it will be better if wait a little bit more to evaluate their potentials.
