Why wasnt there a turkish league up until 1967(or there isnt any data before?)? that doesnt make any sense.
Israely teams played against turkish teams in the champions cup before 1967.
        great post, btw.

          Actually, there were "leagues", ArnoldPettybone.

          Quote from Wikipedia:

The first basketball game played in Turkey was at the Robert College in Istanbul in 1904. Galatasaray Lisesi formed the first basketball team in 1911. The next basketball team founded was of Fenerbahçe SK in 1913. An unofficial league was founded in 1927 in Istanbul, which lasted until the establishment of a regional official league in 1933. From 1946 on, basketball championships were organized between the leading clubs of Istanbul, Ankara. and İzmir

The Turkish Basketball League, in the recent form, was founded on December 13, 1969 by the Turkish Basketball Federation. With the season 1968-1969, the Turkish Second Basketball League took its start.

A triple-double with steals, now that's impressive... Was the opposition sleeping while he stole them the ball?

General stats of basketball clubs of TBL since 1980-81*. Some of the clubs were there even before, but I don't have those standings. The bold ones are currently in TBL.

Last item should be updated. Turkish NT won silver medal in 2010 World Cup too.

                        yes, updates are needed certainly.
but that specific sentence is still correct: 2001 silver is the only medal in European Championship. The other one is world cup.

                          found this on twitter, @basketci5
1980-81 champion Eczacibasi . Not sure why they're standing in a strange-looking garden. it might be one of Eczacibasi plants.

I can clearly recognize Efe Aydan, the first one on the right on back row.

the others after some research should be as below:

                          #14 must be Ronald Haigler.
#6 is Necati Guler, the father of Muratcan and Sinan Guler.
                          #8 is Orhan Tuncer
                          #5 is Melih Ercin
                          #12 is Husamettin Akyurek
#10 is I think Engin Alpaslan.
                          #11 should be Hakan Buyukbayrak
                          #7 should be Ahmet Sari
not sure, but the guy next to Haigler is probably Toma Istavridis. An ethnic Greek, but Turkish national.
