You guys remember Kwan Johnson[/B][/B] who played for Sta.Lucia Realtors during the late 1990’s?
Well here is a youtube video of his highlights during his PBA days playing along Rob Parker (Fil-Sham)
He apparently still go back and visit the Philippines and have been approacheable for pics for those few who recognise.

Met up with former PBA star Ben Obrique, one of the stalwarts of the PSBA Jaguars in the defunct MUCAA and responsible for giving the Jaguars a title during his era in the late 70's. He was a Nic Jorge boy as the portly coach "discovered" him while trying out for Adamson University during the Hector Calma era and enticed him to join PSBA instead.

True enough, Jorge took care of him, ensuring that he got to play in the pro league starting 1980 when the CDCP Road Builders joined the league after buying the Filmanbank franchise. Obrique played for two seasons in the PBA. He was a spunky, gritty player who was like a "kiti-kiti" whenever he played. To younger (yet still senior) fans, they may be able to visualize his game as similar to Rudy Distrito, and later, Choy Estrada.

I met Ben at Gerry's Grill in Cerritos, California together with ex-players Abe King, Etok Lobo and Noni Robles last year. We hit it off well and became instant friends. When he PM'd me last month informing me of his plan to come home this May, we agreed to meet up. He also committed to me his basketball career story which I intend to make a player profile - a simple token of gratitude to the entertainment he gave us when we were younger.

i think he is just kidding,there are a lot of very good players in yhe PG position in the PBA let alone in Alaska.Someone like a JV Casio is a bench player in the pros but he is a superstar back in his amateur days,even the top point at one time in Gilas 1.Put him in the MPBL and he'll basically torch his opponents.
