Even Iran is pretty good. But here is how it'll be:

    1 - China 3-0
    2 - Jordan 2-1
    3 - Philippines 1-2
4 - Iran 0-3 (although Iran are definitely one of the top ten Asian teams)

    Sorry RP fans.
well, that could happen. but i don't think china is the strongest team in group a, i'll give jordan that distinction. for Team Pilipinas, we just have to believe that we can make it. we just have to believe that we can win. let's put that so called, "pilipino pride" in good use, i want to see that never say die attitude. "Never give up!!!" that should be the motto of Team Pilipinas.

veryobvious... Philippines will win in this POLL.
to be realistic Philippines is a sure 2nd Place in Group A. And could be Ist, depends on how they handle the JORdanians. I say they have a good chance beating R>WRIGHT and company so 3-0 is very possible...

with the chinese sending basically the same team that played in manila invitationals, this group will become more interesting. it seems they will need a quotient system to determine who will advance.

speaking of Chinese..the CCTV 5 channel is airing the Jordan vs. China game right now..I'm watchin through Sopcast..with the help of Clark guy from the Phillippine forum, Jordan 35-China 30 at halftime
It's ironic to see limited efforts from players with maximum salary.
I wish they would apply "sabermetrics" in those financially challenged PBA teams to acquire players who are value for their money.

    end of 3rd Qtr!

    Jordan 60
    China 49

Zaid Alkhas and Rasheim Wright doing most of the damage
Seems like China is not using its roster's full strength in this game

Jordan beat China quite easily 78-65 with Wright and Alkhas offensively just being too much for the highly dissapointing Chinese, who didn't really look like they were at least trying hard to win (no tactical fouls in the end etc.). Jordan quite impressive.

with this dominating win of Jordan, the game between RP and IRI is a must win for both teams.. Jordan seems invincible, and if they can't win today, they'll probably have only one win or worst nothing if they lose against China...

you don't actually believe will lose to Iran, do you?!

Coz If that's the case and we lost to Iran then will end -up 0-3!

Because Iran and China in this Fiba-Asia is on some what the same level.

I say will end-up 3-0, depending on how hard we play against Jordan.

    Talking

Its only 3 hours to go.

Kahit na ba tatlo 7 footer ng Iran, basta gumana lang ang outside shooting ng Pinas, It will draw out the electric posts out of the lane, then pwede na tayong mag penetrate.

Harass the guards so they will have a hard time giving the entry pass to those giants.

    The suspense is killing me

    Default Sweet as expected!

Lets chilax....w8 for our game. All of the game is a must win for us. If jordan defeated china we can do it too. It only means we are going to see the most dramatic come back of a team in history of World Basketball by being absent for a long time.

Coach Tim Cone said: "The harder we get there the sweeter it is to win."
It's not who I am underneath but what I do that defines me... I'm the best there is the best there was and the best there it will be.
