      It's on now. HT Aus 43 - 37 NZ.

Three game series in usual playoff format. First team to win two games goes to Beijing, the loser to play additional qualifying tournament in Europe next year.

Australia won 79 - 67. NZ were horrible in the 3rd QT turning the ball over and struggling to score only 9 pts. This may be decided in game 2 as the Kiwis look very lethargic and they don't know where they can find solutions on offense. I hope it doesn't get decided until Game 3. I have a ticket to see that here in Brisbane.

Australia NT is not real and strongest line-up against complete N, Zealand real line-up.

If Australia send a real line-up the Aussies sweep and win big margin of 20-30pts.

If they send a full strength line-up and yeah sure they can sweep the series but winning 20-30 points thats too much... although it could happen...

yup sort of... but New Zealand players are more exposed to international basketball... I would say they're in the same level but NZ always get the upper hand whether we like it or not...

New Zealand have a semi-pro league called the New Zealand National Basketball League and they're as the same level as the Philippine Basketball League... although, most of the members of the NZ national team either played in the professional Australian National Basketball League or in the Euroleague... therefore, NZ can beat the Philippines anytime...but doesn't mean they're as strong as Australia... and it doesn't mean also that the Philippines can't beat NZ because RP can beat them...

You don't know about their skills, moves etc. NZ players are in Australian leagues or NBL teams benches. They're more smaller players in NZ like Pero Cameron positioned @ center is 6'4. Onlly Sean Marks is the tallest player in NZ NT. They are underated or role players in NBL Australia. Otherwise, other players played like Mick Pennisi. Philippines can beat NZ and NZ can beat Philippines.
