          Prokom builds its power
Prokom Trefl Sopot is still completing its roster. Oscar Torres (195-F/G-76), Tomas Van Den Spiegel (214-C-78), Ruben Wolkowyski (207-C-73), Travis Best (180-G-72, college: Georgia Tech), Milan Gurovic (207-F-76, agency: Beo Basket), Krzysztof Roszyk (200-F-78) and Iwo Kitzinger (188-G-85) will be new players of Polish champion in the 2007/2008 season. The board agreed all terms of the contracts with these players and each of them should signature their own.
It is a great success to hire these players. Torres and van den Spiegel are ex-CSKA Moscow players. Venezuelian player last season started in Khimki Moscow but in the middle of the season he moved to CSKA Moscow. He can play as small forward or shooting guard. His averages - 10.5 ppg. and 4.3 rpg. When it comes to Belgian center - he spent last two seasons in CSKA, achieving two golden medals in a row of Russian Superleague and he won also the Euroleague in 2006. Last season he had 5.6 ppg., 3.0 rpg. playing 12.9 mpg in Superleague and 4.3 ppg., 2.9 rpg. in 14.4 mpg. in Euroleague.
Next player who is coming to Prokom is Argentinian power forward or center - Ruben Wolkowyski. Prokom tried to hire him in the passed years but always failed. Wolkowyski is a champion of Olimpic Games 2004 with Argentina. He has also polish passport because of his origins. Wolkowyski is ex player of Khimki Moscow, where he has played since 2004. Last season averaged - 11.1 ppg. and 4.6 rpg. The employment of Wolkowyski seems to mean the solving deal with Turkish center - Huseyin Besok (212-C-75, agency: Interperformances).
As we informed some days ago Best, Gurovic, Roszyk and Kitzinger will be also Prokom's players.
Moreover the club is interested in Lynn Greer (186-G-79, college: Temple)'s services. American player has still valid contract with Milwaukee Bucks but his future is unknown. It is possible that he will play in Sopot when both boards make an agreement. He would be the first point guard. Greer has an experience form Polish League. He played in Idea Slask Wroclaw 25.1 ppg. and 5.5 apg in the Euroleague games. His averages from passed season - 4.1 ppg., 1.3 apg. in 10.5 mpg.
Valid contracs have: Donatas Slanina (192-G-77), Tomas Masiulis (204-F-75), Filip Dylewicz (202-F-80) (has just extended the deal) and Besok (but probably he will be released).

Valid contracts with Anwil have: Zbigniew Bialek (until 2009), Wiktor Grudzinski (2008), Patrick Okafor (2008) and Andrzej Pluta (2009).

Prokom is still looking for the point guard who will play in starting five. The board of club wanted to sign Lynn Greer but he rejected the offer so they directed to ink a deal with one of the two following players: Goran Jeretin and Kerem Tunceri.
