Too much hype in this Turkish generation... tough loss versus a very good German team today. Great skills of Van Slooten, dominating the game. Turkis missing incredible number of shots (we made 73 to score 65 points). May be we are on time to call that Bosnian guy . We have talent so I hope we can change this situation, but you need to play defense.

And you must fight for average just in case is important...

P.s-->I do know nothing about that German big guy, but Golden Dike of Spain was born and raise in Malaga. They will miss Garuba, who is most talented

We are ruined on court, especially got smashed physically. German team is also individually better off, however 20 points difference can not be accepted easily when one thinks our team was giving some good signals before the tournament.

Kurtuldum is a quite overrated prospect. His improvement is stall and I don't see anything new on his skill-set comparing to last year. Not a bad player, but no way can be considered as a elite prospect. My personal favorite from this generation, İlyasoğlu, had a very bad game. I am expecting more from Erdek and Çete as they have been reliable scorers in preparation period. Actually, I am not impressed by any players in this first game, let's see what they are going to offer upcoming games to make more accurate comments.
Sports is not only considered as a superiority of physical capability. Perception, intelligence and morality assist it as well. The strong with less intelligence and comprehension can not cope with the less strong but with sufficient intelligence and comprehension. I like the sportsman who is intelligent, agile as well as morally upright.

Even his name is fake, taken from some porn flick Finland have two suspicious players as well, their center look beyond his age physically.

We are playing "alaturca". When this press defense is not working and you are a second later to every ball yo allow lots of easy baskets. As I said we have some talent so I sope know kids can probe they have character and IQ enough to learn from this and play better tomorrow. I do not know if coach is going to keep this way of shorts periods of time in court, long rotations, high pace, run, etc..

I do not agree in your impressions about Çete, he is not a reliable scorer in my opnion, he takes shots he have not to take (little bit selfish), if he misses he continue shooting without any success, etc... In the other hand, he usuallu (no today) is a good defender, have good legs potential, can make steals, and it´s good in open court,..

Lacking a true center to assist the defensive settling is the biggest problem related with this team. Rim protection is non-existed. Kavşuk is kinda good defensively though he didn't see enough playing time today. I have watched some games from preparation period, we change the defensive schemes so frequently that sometimes players feel lost. I am sick to see all these combination defenses.

Çete is good, believe me. He was the leading scorer of the team in previous preparation tournament. It was a bad display for him today also just like the others. I also expect more from Erdek. The coach should take a look at the roles again. Kurtuldum leading the team is not a good idea. +25 minutes to KĂ¼Ă§Ă¼k is essential.

Lack of athleticism of our C (if you consider Karabilen as C) is a big truoble for defense we did today, no matter if we make full court press (if they pass first line then they have a highway to basket) and also in that 2-3 defense (in wich we miss 3-4 rebounds whe we were close).

I know Çete is good, I told some of his good things (and he has character too, important in basketball) i´m just saying he is not a reliable scorer. Yes he can score, specially in lay-ups, open court, steal and score, but he is inconsistent in scoring (as some other players are, like Kurtuldum even with his hype), like he probed in Baltic Cup one month ago or in Eyof two weeks ago (here he had very good fist phase but then he struggled in shooting in semis and final, but I like the guy.

We have some talent but this way of playing sometimes make this happens, everyone can score, but whe the team has difficulties, roles are not clear so no one knows who the leaders are, etc..

As I said, we should at least wait group phase to finish to give more accurate feedback on player. These are the kids who beat France, Spain, Lithuania in away games during preparation period. Potential is there. The real job is to make it visible.

I didn't know you are a foreigner. It is both strange and great to see someone who is very knowledgeable about Turkish youth setup that much. Yeah, my avatar 'The father of Beşiktaş and also the other clubs'. Two legends of Beşiktaş.

I can only start seeing kids on u16 tournaments and onwards, so I was very curious about our team. It did not look good . At some point, I went and checked the sizes of both teams, because on court German kids seemed seriously bigger, but to my surprise the average heights were exactly the same; 1.96cm.

the only player I liked was Kucuk. He is nifty little guy. a type of PG we've been historically missing.

Germans on the other hand was like a steam roller; they physically beat us and seemed to have made every shot.

first impressions on these levels are usually not reliable. Hope see more games.

As I said this is the way this generation of kids have been playing during preparation. This way of play makes lots of up and downs during the match, but of course it´s not the same have downs during a preparation game than during a tournament, mind plays too. This team was more than 30 points down vs Lthuani one month ago in a preparation match and then in second hlf, even with the defeat we were close to 4 point. We were up versus Croatia just two weeks ago and then recieve 35 points in a quarter, etc... all the games all like that, but yesterday was the first real match and whe you are down and you see you can not score like other times, you begin to think about not scoring and the you do not score and then you thnik again and....

i hope staff calmd down the kids (yesterday good signal from mister with Ilyasoglu last time he went to bench) and no to change way of playin even if that probe we are not a top level, cuz that will make not cheat ourselves and know how much we have to improve.

Just no to talk about Turkey, I liked some kids i watched yesterday: Pradilla (Spain), Mannion (Italy), Kriisa (Estonia), Maledon (France), Kadoshnikov (russia, this last one is not as mature right now as the other but i liked him)

Really talented for this level. But I am afraid his best case sceranio is probably Ender Arslan .

What annoys me most about our youth level teams, we can't f..king shoot the ball. All U-20,18,16,14 teams included. There are really good talents out there but as long as they can't hit the ball from outside, they won't make any impact.

Ender Arslan at 20yo? I'd take it. Arslan later became a joke of a player, he was great in the beginning both for NT and for Efes.

Streaming is drunk in this tournament. Maybe not in all the games, because i've watched only Lithuanian games so far. By the way, Chroatian team got stucked in Lithuanian defence - non of them could score 10 pts in the game.

Today I had no problem, but yesterday´s match of Lithuania was crazy to see with that streaming, but in today´s Lithuanian game I had no problem (only watched first half)

It's strange. I didn't even watch live after yesterday's one - downloaded the game after, but it still wasn't good and some other people mentioned it too.
