They'll ask Panlilio to insert some PBA players in Gilas. Most likely from SMC.

I remember the 2014 WC team. They only loaned Tenorio, Japeth, Pingris and Fajardo eventhough Chot wanted more SMC players. But after the WC, SMC milked the popularity of that Gilas team by having a beer commercial with the SCM Gilas boys with Vic Sotto.

... I may have missed it in the news BUT I have yet to see a congratulatory message from the PBA or even just from the Commie himself on the accomplishment of Gilas this week ....

They still have some following in CDE but these sectors doesn't buy tickets. Atleast not anymore.
Live Attendance has been so bad during regular season games. Which is a bad look for tv and advertisers. Now most of the commercials are tv5 shows, mvp and smc companies.
For low attendance games, they should just give free tickets to DE market and team fanclubs.

Im fine with pba not loaning players during playoffs or finals. The problem is the pba has games all year long.

Having a game7 finals and a regular season game 2-3wks after is stupid and just causes audience fatigue. Nothing to look forward to.
This could work in the past since people dont have a lot to do. But now you have access to nba, netflix, etc. Attention span is a lot lower.
This is also bad for the players. No rest means injuries and no improvement. players usually work on their craft during the off season.
