Politics whether we like it or not will always be involved in our day to day life. You live in the Philippines or to the farthest corner of Timbukto, there will always be " pulitika. " In your workplace, in your club, church, etc... politics is always around. For me, the more important is political will especially from our main basketball federation. They know that CTB is the most logical man to lead our team but what are they doing?

He is the program director anyway, maybe he can be the real coach. And assign a dummy coach in dickel.

Tab is essentially the current head coach (not in title only) much like Pat Riley was the head coach , then turned GM , with Spoelstra holding Head coach title (but for the 1st few years at least - Riley was really pulling the strings) , realistically the transition process is all of 2020 Tab is still hands on head (makes all the decisions) , it's only in 2021 probably that thhe assigned head coach play that role with a gradual transition of hands on coaching by Tab moving to essentailly an understudy.

for all intent of purposes that is the real situation, of course the offcial line is something different for the purpose of managing stakeholders essentially

Put it this way , what Tab is doing now in terms of activities is exactly the same thing he was doing in early 2015 when he was offically assigned head coach of Gilas, nothing different ! Dickel , Nenad and Sandy , essentially have replaced role of Compton, Alapag and Uichico..

Remember, we are building up for the 2023 World Cup... any games or tournaments between now and then are part of the build-up. We don't need to have all the cards right away. Those three coaches are just coaches by paper but in reality, as pointed out, Tab is calling the shots. SBP doesn't need to announce it. FIBA already posted those three names in their website and that's it. There's no need to make any issues or complications out of it.

thats a good move actually. lets see how he blends in with the players. it is very important that the players themselves is comfortable with the coach and vice versa.

Agree, coach yeng and prev gilas looks not comfortable with each other. Making Junmar a screener. Benching bolick and perez for kiefer.
Pogoy and Troy cannot shine the way they shine in tnt.

For as long Tab has a hand on the National team, I'm confident everything will turn out just fine.
