I'll be satisfied if Tamayo ends up standing between 6-foot-8 or 6-foot-9 (legit height). At 18 years old, I doubt if he will still grow by more than an inch. As we all know, Pinoys hardly grow after reaching 17 years old.

Tamayo will grow at least .5 in more, and kai an inch more, based on normal pinoy growth charts. Tamayo will therefore be as good as 6'8 like a bulkier almazan, and kai a 7'3 rdo by pba measurements.

These boys will not grow hungry and thats enough employment satisfaction. Probably have a 3-car garage and tagaytay condo as well.

Lets not put needless pressure on these boys. In 30-50 years there will easily be 10 new players above 6'7 every year. No need to be intimidated by stratospheric slavs anymore. In that future, they will be astounded that we actually used a 5'4 habahabarrientos or 5'7 martirez as main PG in a national team. And there were lots of nt level forwards 5'9 and below like danny florencio in the pygmy 60s and 70s era. Cant even call those past nt teams as midget teams (jaworski sr was a 6foot center from ue, which was tall enough that time.) The progression in size is very good, as a 17 year old kai today is already way, way better and super-productive than 6'5 fernandez and 6'3 patrimonio at 20, the best players during those jurassic times.

If Tamayo can have 80% of Renaldo Balkman's game at the very least, I will be happy.

A Carl Tamayo turning out into a 6-foot-8 RDO will put smile on my handsome face

If Kai Sotto can bulk-up by around 15 to 20 lbs. in a little over than a month, then I think Almazan can also bulk-up by 25 to 30 lbs in a 4-month weight-gain program.

What a "privilege" is that for someone who needs to gain weight rather than to loose weight.

Overeating is a privilege that was given only to a few.

RDO was pretty athletic specially in his early years. I think tamayo already has the skills but isn't as athletic

    As per East West Private

Kai had a big week! Travelled to Cincinnati/NKY to workout with Jordan Griffin of Griffin Elite and Dante Harlan of Ignition APG and joined a scrimmage with some big boys from the Midwest 10. He got rewarded with some of Cincinnati’s yummy treats (Ambar India and Graeter’s Ice Cream)! But the icing on the cake was his session with his Theia Sports Mind Coach, Barbara Young! Because 50% of a winning strategy is mental!

Good thing he's getting some exposure

Good development. The lakers will later look for a 7'3 kareem abdul jabbar replacement killer.. the shooting and defense abilities of kai will reach nba level when he is 23. Pinoys can fill up half of the lakers arena by that time.

He needs to be lean but well-muscled starting at 19. Right now, his muscular development as expected is good enough only for a u17 player, and well below that of a u19 player. He should ride the bench for u19 at least for 20 minutes as the u19 boys will be too strong for him.

As for weight, the rule of thumb is you must gain 5 pounds of muscle for every inch in height. So a buff 23year old 6footer is about 190 lbs, and a 7'2 should be 14x5 lbs heavier at 260 lbs at the same age. A lot of 7footers do operate around that weight.
