Why on earth would they balance the pools like that? the 2nd to 5th best teams all in one pool?

One of Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Chile will go to the U19 World's and two of Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Dominican Republic won't?

Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands were the top two teams at U17 Centrobasket last summer, so it isn't too unbalanced. It would be better if they automatically placed the Centrobasket champ with the second South American team and the South American champion with the second Centrobasket team.

They let the hosts choose which group they wanted to play in, which is kind of crazy. Chile was competitive in their losses to Argentina and Brazil last year though.

26 players to attend USA Basketball training camp in Colorado Springs from June 14-18.

Just nine players are 2016-class, majority is 2017's. Terrance Ferguson, Jarrett Allen and Markelle Fultz lead the 2016-class invitees and were already members of the 2016 Nike Hoop team. However, some of the best 2016 prospects are not in, like Jayson Tatum, Malik Monk, Miles Bridges, Frank Jackson and Marques Bolden (all would be age eligible).

              Canada tryout roster:

Strong group headlined by Lindell Wigginton. Frontcourt is a little thin.

Some changes on US Team trials roster:

Added: Miles Bridges (Fw 2016), Chaundee Brown and Jordan Tucker (both SF 2017).
Out: Jalek Felton, Terrance Ferguson, Jeremiah Tilmon.

Addition of Bridges is a good move, Ferguson exit is really bad news.

US 17 finalists to resume training July 11-15. Unfortunately 2016-class high ranked Miles Bridges withdrew for family reasons. The final 12-member team will be named by the end of training.
