Jokic does it again with another monster game this time against the Warriors. Triple double 17 points 21 rebounds and 12 assists is amazing. It's one thing to put up huge numbers that are hollow but he is doing it against great competition and winning at the same time with 10 wins in his last 15 games. When you stick out and are the best player on a court with guys like Durant, Curry and Green that says a lot about you. Maybe those Dirk and Pau comparisons are not as outlandish or far fetched anymore.

PER-wise, Nikola Jokic is having the best season ever by a European player not named Dirk Nowitzki. Nikola Jokic’s PER is at 26.8. It’s the sixth-best mark for a sophomore in NBA history.

Probably the most useless and least indicative stat of player performance that exists. For example his rating is higher than LeBron's. And as for sophomore seasons his rating is significantly higher than sophomore Hakeem Olajuwon in 1986 who was the best player on an NBA finals team and that of Larry Bird's 1981 sophomore NBA championship season. Or how about any of Kobe Bryant's seasons except one. Not an accurate indicator of performance at all in my opinion.

Another monster performance by Jokic. 19pts 16reb 10ast last night vs Bulls. 3/3 from 3pt.

He had a great game after a few weaker performances.

All is well in Joker's universe. That guy DownToBuck has hilarious descriptions.

Great game but NBA's assist definition is ridiculous. 3/10 would not count in EL.

Another ordinary day in the office.

Back-to-back triple doubles on a back-to-back road wins. Scary part is that he is not looking for his shot.

He moves his teammates ,he tells them where to be for a good shot, he put them in the situation where they can fire uncontested shots , also if he throw outlet pass and his teammate makes few dribbles wit the ball before he scores it's still an assist, the point is, when he's on the court Denver's offense is in constant motion, not all of his assist are fancy but they are still assists. Hey Euroleague count assists when players are shooting two free throws, not everything is perfect in precious European basketball

EL is not the best either, but I can see the logic in FT-assists.

as for Jokic, agreed on all points, but just check the assist to Nelson for example, in the beginning. He passes to Nelson, then Nelson dribbles to left, beats his own defender, and makes the shot. this is too loose a definition for assist imho.

I was not paying attention much then, but I wonder if this is a recent trend in the NBA. Were Stockton's, Marc Jackson's etc stats also inflated?

Seems like he has his ups and downs. He may be at the best Euros talent wise, but again Pau was consistently scoring 19-21pts every single game since the rookie season.
LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

                                Buzelis, Lelevicius
                                Murauskas, Sirvydis
