Interesting comments by Scariolo about the potential selections. Right now, the mentor is more worried about health than anything.

I read that younger Gasol is doubtful, he mentioned that he hasn't even started with running drills yet.

Scariolo cut list to 20 names https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cl88d6xXIAAh-jX.jpg:large

from original list there're no Ibaka, Colom, Sastre and Juancho Hernangomez. Also Marc Gasol still doubtfull

It comes down to Pau's impact a lot. Can he still be locomotive for the team. Navarro and Calderon are both not the same. Rubio is somewhat unpredictable at FIBA game. Can be an elite facilitator, but also can be a guy who misses jumpers and not fitting in. Rudy might be the key for them. I see him as the best reserve compared to last summer and he needs to play big for them. Pau, Sergio and Lull seem to be the best players on the team. Basically it's still a heck of a team because you do get contribution from almost every player, but I have a feeling they might not be as red hot as they used to be. Last summer Pau carried them on his own shoulders, now they will face even harder competition.
