As of this season ( 2015 - 2016), teams will be allowed to use 3 foreigner in the game.
Lebanese players will be sitting on the bench, and the ones on court won't be seeing much touches of the ball.

Why 3 foreign players? Other leagues allow only one. We even allow 2 foreign players but only in the last part of the season.

Imagine in a team like Riyadi, You have 3 foreigners on court + naturalized Ismael Ahmad... there is one single spot open for lebanese player.And Riyadi Has 6 players with high quality to play for the NT ( Ali Mahmoud, Wael Arakji, Ahmad ibrahim, Ali Haidar, Jean Abdel Nour, Amir Souad)...
And if you add khatib to riyadi..even worse.

Votes for 2 foreigners: 4 votes - Riyadi/Gebrayel Coalition ( Nader Basma, Rami Fawaz, Maroun Gebrayel, Hadi Ghamrawi)

Vote for 2 foreigners + 1 on bench: 1 votes Saliba

i am afraid there is no stop for Walid Nassar from here on.He basically controls 7 members, he is running things all by himself. Abusing his power, and going against all logic.
He basically raised the middle finger for everyone, and moved on.

3 imports is a good decision if we can increase the 1st division teams to at least 12 teams, in this way the league will be more competitive and the Lebanese players can find a team where they can have enough playing time!
But, the real question is, can we find 12+ teams who have enough budget to play in 1st division? Anyway, let's see what happens in the upcoming season!

Your statement assumes, that a player will refuse to sit on Al Riyadi bench ( taking say 40,000 usd) and go play for Antranik as starter ( taking say 20,000 usd).

Most players , if not all like to earn more and sit on bench...then earn less and be starter

The top Lebanese teams have a much higher budget than that of the Lebanese NT... Riyadi's budget as a matter of fact is even more than that of a small Euroleague team (one of top 24 teams in Europe)

Hehe. The country is poor, the people of lebanon are poor. There is massive investment on basketball clubs, because of politics.It helps some people when it comes down to elections.
