I agree. The OG qualification is soooooo yesterday. But we can forget about yesterdays. They just don't matter anymore. The mission now is the Gold!

Both Robertas Javtokas and Jonas Valančiūnas have lots of experience playing against Pau Gasol. Together with Coach Kazlauskas, they should be able to design a scheme to contain the damage Gasol does tomorrow.

Well said. Kazlauskas will think of some plan against Pau.

While I agree that Spain are clear favorites, but so were Italy and Serbia. Serbia was considered the best team in the tournament by quite a lot of people up until those people were proven wrong. So I think Lithuania has a decent shot at the title. Maybe something like Spain 70%, Lithuania 30%.

U.K. bookmaking firm William Hill has Spain as a 5.5 point favourite.

Good luck to both teams. I have a preference for Lithuania over Spain because of Jonas (and their color /serious_reason ) but nevertheless, I hope this will be a close and suspenseful game!

Spoken by the fellow whose only interest in international basketball appears to be cheering against Team Lietuva. Well I really hope that when you tune into the Olympics next summer you'll have to put up with hearing the constant mantra "reigning European champions Lithuania".
