we don't call it an injury, we call it special abilities and so on. A hand full of pills can take care his situation for an hour or so.

Oh, you meant why didn't he played against Poland? I really believe it was a statement.

He's with problems in his back. Possibly with days of resting he could participate. I suppose if he's well he'll play, and if he does will not be at 100%.

I would say that this is the first encounter in KO stage between two medal candidates. The winner will probably end up with a medal, while the looser will quite likely end fifth.
The great Spain dominance is already over. Their roster got significantly weaker over the years. Reyes (35) and Gasol (35) are still performing but not at previous levels. The replacements of Navarro, Jimenez, Marc etc are nowhere close, and there are 2 players (Vives, Aguilar) who are there only to waive towels. San Emeterio is in a serious decline, and Rudy is possibly injured.

Of course, Spain still has enough quality to beat anybody, but it can't be denied they're quite crippled. I am not sure if they can patch these holes in the future, as the pipeline does not seem that full any more.

Our way finishes here. One more win and we are at the pre-olympics. If we managed to get a medal, Gasol should be the new spanish president or something like that.

Spaniards without Rudy" the Clown" is not so exiting to watch . Get him ready for 1/4 show please,we need comedy actors too on the floor for games become more interesting.

I was more optimistic after the wins against Croatia and Slovenia.
After all we saw that our group was so bad...both teams lose easy at knock out games
Only Georgia gave a good fight against Lithuania
Now we have to see our team against a decent opponent. If we lose then we dont have any success ont this eurobasket to remember

The real Rudy is about 7'2" and can block the crap out of shots and dunk without jumping. He is doing quite well.

I'm an optimistic guy in general but this time I think we'll lose.

The Spaniards have underperformed so far and I believe that they will show their real strength in the next game. Bourousis is gonna have serious troubles to score against Pau. Spaniards are better in transition and Koufos or Giannis won't have (probably) many opportunities for easy baskets. Their guards are fast, good passers and shooters. We will give them many chances for open shots because we will try to tighten our defense in the post. In addition, the Spaniards have already faced some very strong teams but for Greece this will be the first game against a real powerhouse. Until now we could advance playing good bb for a couple of periods. This is not the case against Spain.

Let's say that we are not lucky enough and Spain plays a good game for their standards.
If we want to have a chance, we should exceed ourselves in any previous game in this tournament. Constant good defense with helps, at least decent 3pts %, no more than 7-8 TO, Kaimak-Papa-Mantzaris dedicated only to special missions (please don't try to help in offense guys), reasonable rotation and a lot of playing time to all players who show that they are in form in this particular game (obvious but not usual for Katsikaris).

The truth is that luck (every not predictable factor) is very important for the rest of the games.

    Greece by 6.

They will keep pressure on the ball from start to finish.. stoping Spanish fastbreaks and turning difficult to feed Gasol.
Greece need also to keep calm ..Spain will try to turn the game into a "corrida"..
Spain will be outcoached as well.

    A must watch game.
