Well Rytas must now appreciate what Radzevičius can do since they resigned him. He has a 10.1 PER over an average of 20:00 minutes in 26 LKL games this year

Rytas can win a ball game against Zalgiris, who knew. Buva seems like will have his ways, I doubt Lauvergne with his defence would shut him down completely. Finally Goudelock delivers against Zalgiris. Strange feeling. But good one generallyLTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

Nobody is enjoying Zalgiris dominance , at least not me . Probably is one off , but we will see.And let that be a lesson to you all. Nobody beats Zalgiris 17 times in a row.

Will be Rytas good enough to bring Normantas back? There are Zalgiris rumours, but i doubt since there is Dimsa option there.

So rumour is that Rytas is offering A. Marciulionis back-up spot at 1. If Marciulionis decides to stay, then Rytas will probably split ways with Bickauskas. The decision between NCAA and Rytas should be happening soon. I assume Marciulionis would have something like consistent 16-18min next season both CL and LKL. Safe direction of steady development, but if he has some NBA ambitions and overall in a long term want to chase NBA dream he should go to NCAA, IMO. Americans have better individual program and Augustas will inevitably have to devlop himself into a hybrid of skilled and power player just as his father was, for him it's very important to have qualified physical coaches.
Goudelock should be gone, IMO, contract expired, I think he'll end up somewhere in Italy.
Rytas will have new front court (I would split ways with Gustys too). So they need about 4 strong foreigners to collect a competitive team, doubt they will succeed But if Marciulionis stays, I'll be watching Rytas all season long.LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

So Rytas lost his last gem out of 4. The tendency is pretty obvious, if you have an elite prospect the best thing you can expect is some sort of buy-out. Tubelis left as 18yo, Marciulionis as 19yo, Sirvydis as 19yo. Jokubaitis left Zalgiris as 20yo. Basically there's very little chances for top Lithuanian clubs to keep elite prospects longer. Jokubaitis was offered solid money and huge role (starter), but even that wasn't enough as bigger club just grabbed him. It's a bit sad, it would be nice to have elite upcoming talents playing longer for Lithuanian clubs, but it also shows that solid players is what you want to build around, like Zalgiris' Ulanovas or Lekavicius or say Rytas' Butkevicius. That's the breed that will stay and will give you benefits long term. In Zalgiris Rubstavicius may be of that kind, and in Rytas J. Rubinas. It's naive to expect to build around elite prospects.LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

Rytas signed Kenneth Smith. Reliable shooter at 1, pretty explosive with the first step. That's a spot on since Kariniauskas barely can shoot and is not athletic. Rytas will be a harder nut to crack for Zalgiris.LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

I dunno. I can't get excited about Rytas signing American players given the team's record in this regard. Rytas' Achilles heel for the last decade has been the team's unfortunate habit of signing American players whose only interest has been showcasing their talents for richer clubs in major metropolitan centers elsewhere. These players have had no interest in even being in Lithuania let alone helping Rytas win any titles. And it's shown. Rytas has foundered in the early parts of most of those seasons and has improved only once they dropped the malcontents and replaced them with whoever could be found on the local playground.

The game was pretty crappy, agreed, but I see no criminal. Regarding LKL, the level has been decreasing ever since 2000s. Many reasons. The fact is that today Lithuania doesn't have second strong team. Best three teams after Zalgiris are from the same shelf basically.LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

Didn't they finish 5th last season? And they stand 8th this season.
A couple of low IQ Americans came in exchange. The team last year was completely exchanged. They wont fall to the second league but they are within the last 4-5 teams. The position atm. is deceiving. The BSL last season was significantly weaker than right now.
Was not my intention to be off topic but I was just shocked about Rytas quality.
