I'm looking forward to see Puerto Rico. I have no news as of late about the squad and this is the time to catch up.

livebasketball.tv will broadcast it, but as far as I noticed, they broadcasts only youth tournaments for free

Good double double by Bennett and Andrew Wiggins showcased an efficient game as Canada beat Argentina 85-80. Canada almost lost the game as they saw their 3rd quarter double digit lead vanish in the fourth as Argentina rallied and began hitting their shots.

Powell sealed the game with freethrows.

They received ticket to Rio2016 as hosts, so can allow that, even tho for bball fans surely it's a loss not to see their big names this year

Decent first game by Canada. I am actually a little surprised they won as it was their first warm-up game and Argentina has played numerous games and been practicing together for much longer. Both teams chose to rest their starting PGs so you can't read too much into the results.

Canada has lots of room to improve as they will get more familiar with each other with every game. Our youth and depth could be a an equalizing advantage when there are 10 games in 12 days at the FIBA Americas. Canada's inexperience showed true with them getting frustrated atthe dirty tactics of Argentina. All that experience allows Argentina to know just how far to push the dirtiness and what they can get away with, frustrating the young Canadians. Nocioni was his usual cheap self. It is tough to watch as a fan and I'm hoping FIBA can clean up its game at some point.

Any updates about Olynyk's knee injury? Last update I got was from the Vancouver newspaper that said it was a minor one so that is a relief.

The Boston media seem to think he will not play in the Americas tournament.

I see thanks for the update.

Meanwhile, Canada leads Brazil 36-27 at half-time. Bench play is a factor for Canada as Powell and Scrubb were hitting shots.

Olynyk is fine and will play tomorrow. Both coach Trianon and couple reporters have said so. Video of him shooting around before today's game with no issue.

Canada beats Brazil quite handily. without olynyk and with Wiggins and Stauskas not doing too much. Great game by dwight powell. Really good depth here with Canada.

    Thanks for the info.

That's three straight wins for Canada as they beat Dominican Republic 86-74 just now.

Canada is looking strong from I've been seeing,
so nice to finally have a team to be proud of. It has been a long time. Nice depth, Powell and Ejim are great hustle players.

livebasketball.tv had one game not uploaded and one game skipped from like 10-8 in the first, all the way to Canada up 15 in the 4th with 3 minutes to go. That is the worst streaming app I've ever paid for, by far

Canada have looked quite good and I like their chances to reach the final and secure the Olympic berth. It's interesting that, for the most part, they haven't been carried by the "name" players. I've been surprised by the contributions of players like Powell and Scrubb. That said, I certainly expected more from a few players. Stauskas hasn't been very good and even Wiggins, despite being a statistical leader, has had some awkward moments. I'd imagine experience and maturity could go a long way over the next few years for the majority of these guys.

Yeah, not impressed with it. The fact that on-demand games are such poor quality (if they're even available) is a major disappointment for me as I've had to change my work schedule to try and catch games live.
