Saša Dončić = Jovan Petrović 2.0

Following Mirotić, Radončić and Dončić, the next Real Madrid's ethnic Serb from former Yugoslavia who will be a legit top level player is Croatian-native Boris Tišma (son of former 6'9" hooper Miodrag Tišma).

A kind of legacy of Tito's communist "Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia", alongside with the creation of a bunch of independant countries, including some that never existed previously as such like Slovenia or Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

It feels as if someone is a bit buthurt.

Actually with this way of thinking... I should probably whine about Pangos playing for Canada, born there, his parents are from Slovenia.... come to think about it, actualy from Trieste/Trst, so basicaly Italy should have a claim... than again, knowing one of his distant relatives, Pangos familiy actualy originated from a Greek merchant that moved to Trst, so ... congratulations Greece, Pangos should play for you. Unless of course it's a matter of a hellenised Turk. Or pontic Greek... might be even urther away, potentialy he might had to play for Libya. Go wonder.

Actually this way of thinking was the one used by the breakaway government of the Republic of Slovenia when they removed Luka Doncic's father Sasa from the registry of Slovenia's permanent residence in February 1992 which led him to move back to his parent's native Serbia (Yugoslavia at the time) and play for Crvena Zvezda junior squad. Soon after, due to the difficult economic situation caused by the tough UN sanctions, Sasa took the opposite direction, went back to Slovenia where he played for years as a foreign player before being naturalized for the needs of Slovenian national team.

Slovenians tend to forget that Sasa Doncic was among the tens of thousands of Slovenia's so-called "erased" citizens

Lol you should double check your facts and could start by carefully read the link you've posted above. Any citizen of Yugoslavia had a chance to gain Slovenian citizenship, those that refused that, well.... we should probably beg them to do so by your opinion? Dončič could've been among those, honestly I couldn't care less.
And honestly, what does that have to do with what I've wrote above is beyond me. Basicaly you're having issues with the 91', while honestly I've got no time or interest for that nationalistic crap.

All he can do is cry

Back to topic, I'm bit surprised with Doncic growth. With that size and skills Doncic can really become something special
            Jordi Bertomeu sucks!

Why should I cry for Dončić ? Every man is the architect of his own fortune. Luka is already something special since he was 11 years old. His late growth spurt is only the icing on the cake.

I don't need to double check the facts given I know first hand that Saša Dončić also known as Sašo Dončič was among them. Didn't know if he refused Slovenian citizenship or was denied at the time though.

A forum is a place where people have the ability to start communication and reply to other people. That's what I did, I only shared my knowledge on Dončić's father personal path.

Genealogy is one of the most interesting auxiliary sciences of history and it's not a nationalistic crap as you think, it's simply the study of family relationships.

So who is the guy responsible for Doncic birth, who didn't take out his penis out of vagina 10 000 BC?
                Jordi Bertomeu sucks!

Back to topic.. . In last 2 years Luka Tomas, youngest of Tomas brothers has gaind about 15cm. Is now about 196-7 cm and plays as PG. Comparing him to young Marko he has same athletic ability while he poses much better ballhandling . He might be typical late bloomer.

And let that be a lesson to you all. Nobody beats Zalgiris 17 times in a row.

Due to his elegance and imagination, Mirza Delibasic was one of the continent's greatest ever players.
