#1 soph prospect Marvin Bagley III won't be eligible to play this season, following his "athletically motivated transfer" from Hillcrest Hoops to Sierra Canyon School. California Interscholastic Federation rules that a player must sit out one season if his transfer is just athletically motivated. Bagley III can return playing Jan 4, 2017.

Strangely, missing from the list are some of ESPN top ranked players in this class, like Marvin Bagley III, EJ Montgomery, Nazreon Reid and Cameron Reddish.

Bagley, who nearly missed the whole regular season was back in a Nike EYBL game won few days ago, with a 21 pts and 7 reb performance and Reid was named the co-MVP at the underclassmen All-American game.

EJ Montgomery, a PF from Montverde Academy (FL) committed to Auburn. Currently #23 in ESPN 2018 rankings, Montgomery was once one of the top ranked prosepcts of his class and is the first 2018 Auburn commit. Tigers already got a highly ranked 2017-class recruit in Austin Wiley.

LSU recruit Emmitt Williams set yesterday the new Jordan Brand Classic all-time scoring record with 44 points (on 22/23 FG). He broke the previous record held by LeBron James (34 pts, 2003). Ironically, Williams wasn't selected for the McDonald's All American game few days ago.

In yesterday's game neither RJ Barrett (rest) nor Zion Williamson (hand injury) didn't show up.

Williams and Nassir Little were named co-MVPs
