UCONN now 9-0 after shooting down Maine tonight. Huskies love to lean on floor spacing and perimeter prowess for those stretches. I would like to see how they handle the bigger teams as Huskies still has questions about their rebounding from their bigs like Nolan, Daniels, Brimah and Facey.

Colorado played a great game, but it is Kansas who did not go for the kill in the first.

There is hope yet for Big 12 this year. Iowa and Baylor are underrated and both are surpassing dismal expectations. Texas meanwhile has a rookie showcase in Isaiah Taylor.

Cold call by the Tarheels. Cut the root before it damages prestige.

Notre Dame's leading scorer, Jerian Grant will miss the remainder of the season due to issues with academics. That is sure to hurt the basketball of the fighting Irish, but props to their academic integrity.

A few more games and Kansas will visit Iowa State, who have been a tough host to any visiting team. Kansas managed an escape last season but I believe Iowa State are better this year.

A big run by host Iowa State in the second half finished off Ohio State. As for OS, this is a disappointing week, their second loss. All in all, this preps Iowa State for big things ahead.

Indiana's Kevin ''Yogi'' Ferrell lead a rally in the second to overcome a 10 point deficit against Wisconsin. Freshmen like Stanford Robinson and Noeh Vonleh also stepped up. Wisconsin was sloppy with turnovers and did not execute those pin point passing leading to aggressiveness in the paint by their wingers. Good win for the Hoosiers.

Nik Stauskas with 26 points tonight and helped with some defensive stops as Michigan scraped past Iowa tonight. Michigan's streak now stretches to 11 and will be put to the test when they collide with rivals Michigan State come Saturday night.

Georgetown's Joshua Smith out for season for academic issues. A transfer from UCLA in Dec 2012, the oversized center (2.08/6-10, 150+ Kg) sat out the 2013 spring semester.

    NIKE's hyper elite uniform sets:

Ohio State, Oregon and Syracuse are definitely throwback colors from the 70's and 80's.
