South Korea is reported to be lining up friendlies against China, France and Canada. Korea will have two women's team in which Team A will be composed of seniors to target Incheon Asian Games gold while Team B, is the younger team -- will participate in the World Cup.

Each team will have four months to prepare.

South Korea's tentative women's national team for the world championships.

            Lee Yong-Geun (KDB Life)
            Lee Seung-Ah (Woori Bank)
            Kim Gyu-Hee (Shinhan Bank)
            Hong Boram (One FX)
            Shin Ji-Hyun (One FX)
            Kim Yeon-Ju (Shinhan Bank)
            Kang Yi-Seul (One FX)
            Kang Ah-Jeong (KB Stars)
            Bae Hye-Yun (Samsung Life)
            Kim So-Dam (KDB Life)
            Kim Danbi (KB Stars)
            Park Ji-Su (Bundang High School)

After two days of tryouts and selections, the committee named the tentative 12.

National team is an under 24 national team as Kim Danbi from the training pool for the Asian Games was relegated. In this team, there is no distinction between a two guard and forward three as the likes of Hong Boram and Kang Yi-Seul plays SG or SF with their respective teams. Same utility with the center and forwards where Park Ji-Su is expected to play PF or C despite the presence of Kim Danbi or Kim So-Dam.
