Qatar enjoy the friendly games in Lithuania agianst the European representatives.
Dnipro overcame Qatar 82:64 in Lithuania. The Ukrainian team grabbed 18-7 in the opening period and led 23:13 after the first quarter. They managed to keep 10-point lead early in the second and had 37:27 advantage at the halftime. Qatar dominated the third period and managed to reduce to just 3 points after 23-16 in it. Dnipro however pushed the tempo for good in the last stanza and won the game. Daniel Kickert (208-C/F-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Valdas Vasylius (203-F-83, college: ODU) as well as Low Derrick notched 14 each. Arfan replied with 14 points in defeat and Abdullah Ali Mohammed posted 9.
Lithuanian LKKA Atletas lost to Qatar team 85:87. The European side looked better in the first period and stormed with 29-11. Later on the court was dominated by the guests. Qatar won the second period 24-14 and added 22-17 in the second frame. Moreover the Qatari team produced 30-25 in the last period to seal the victory. Tray Marzung top-scored for the winners with 34 points and Artan Holding netted 18. Khalid Suliman (198-G/F-87) followed them with 9 points. Vidmantas Sragauskis (200-F-86) replied with 24 points in defeat and Sarunas Vingelis notched 20. Taurantas Tamosiunas (189-PG-92) scored 19, while Paulius Malasauskas delivered 9.

we need tune up games like this

U can bet that the Qataris are exposing themselves to high level basketball (higher than the level of the Jones Cup). We all know that Lithuania is a world basketball power. Kahit sabihin nating natatambakan ang Qatar, the Qataris would benefit playing in high level competition.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

but we have to hold our horses before the actual tourney, it seems that chot is really hiding castro for better. no more chemistry issue and no more system familiarity issue for castro.

BTW i'm looking forward to this match-up Gabe vs Bharami v2 and Gabe vs Ngombo

    pringle and castro.
Pringle can orchestrate too. Very poised and doesnt crumble at pressure.
so a traditional PG can be somewhat replaced by him.
And a traditional PG is not really a must in our current system.

Imagine Castro for Pringle substitution. lolers 40 minutes of hell.

maybe they'll play the Cagayan Rising Suns, I think they are the only intact PBA D-League team as majority of the D-League teams lost their players to the PBA Rookie Draft or are already deemed ineligible since they already over the 27 years old ceiling limit set by the PBA.

or to gain the confidence they'll probably play the now famous Lyceum-Cavite Junior Pirates.

i think they didnt have the chance to play against the Lithuanian NT but played against club teams instead, good tune ups nonetheless.
